Oliver was so worried about his ex-girlfriend that he couldn't bear to see her.

"What right do you have to come in here?!" Carter approached him, his head was hot, annoyed to see Oliver's face.

"I-I just want to make sure she's fine," Oliver answered calmly, unable to take his eyes off the patient lying on the bed.

"Be a man of your word Oliver. You said you were going to get away from us. Do you remember that? And why are you still trying to come here? I'll let you see her from afar but I won't let you touch her." Carter blocked him, he backed out of the door and Carter slammed the door that made him startled.

Oliver just sat in the chair and waited for Julie and his uncle who could tell him about Merideth's true condition. As he waited, he thought it was Julie who would come out but it was Carter who suddenly rushed at him. He suddenly pulled Oliver's collar and pulled him to the corner.
