BROKEN VESSELS

Maya woke up jerking on her bed, Nicholas stared at her not willing to move, he fixed his gaze at his phone and Maya continued to jerk as the machines made distorted sounds.

Nicholas runs out of reflex to keep Maya in place as Mayaʼs lips meet his, he quickly withdraws himself as a Nurse holds Maya from falling again.

Nicholas clears his throat as he walks briskly to the bathroom, he runs the tap and cleans his lips, specifically like he encounters something allergic.

Nicholas walked to the car park without returning to Mayaʼs room as Lindsay meets him in a half run.

“Why did you leave in such a rush?” She asked, looking at him carefully.

“Nothing.” He said frowning. “If you're ready letʼs leave.” Nicholas says entering his sleek ride after his last word.

“Okay,” Lindsay says, still staring at him. “Do you feel her pain?” Lindsay asked, trying to fix her seatbelt with great difficulty, it suddenly seemed like her hands werenʼt functional.
