Nicholas carried her to her room, made sure he provided everything she needed to be comfortable. He sent ointment for her through the workers. It wasn't what she expected, she thought he would scold and make several comments but he didn't.

Maybe he didn't care? Why should he care? I'm not his wife. I am but we do not share such a relationship.

Laura was making up excuses in her head while Nicholas was boiling with anger.

He was in his gym up late , letting out all the frustration on the punching bag.

He didn't love her , he didn't but why was it affecting him so much that Laura was in another man's arms? Why did he feel so much anger on the inside?
