"Some crazy guy gave it to me. I didn't want it, but he forced it into my hands," Jessica said, dropping the package on the table. "Anyways, I'm so hungry," she added as she headed to the kitchen.

Lisa watched her go, still curious about the package and Jessica's evasive explanation. She glanced at the note again, wondering about the story behind it. Deciding not to press the issue further for now, she followed Jessica into the kitchen.

"Do you want to order something, or should we whip up a quick snack?" Lisa asked, trying to shift the conversation to something lighter as she joined her friend.

"Anything would do," Jessica answered, then suddenly stopped to look at her friend's glamorous dressing.

"Tell me, Lisa, what's the occasion?" she asked, a curious smile spreading across her face.

Lisa blushed slightly, feeling the excitement bubble up again. "I have a date with Ray tonight," she confessed, unable to hide her smile.
