soon Morning came, but Mello hadn’t slept. Every time he tried, he’d wake up from a different nightmare about Lisa. His mind replayed dark scenes of her in danger, helpless and scared, and he couldn't shake them off.

The room was cool, but he felt unbearably hot, his skin clammy with sweat. His thoughts raced, and his chest felt tight. All he wanted was for Lisa to be safe, and the thought of not knowing where she was or what was happening to her was driving him to the edge.

Mello rubbed his head gently, trying to ease the pounding ache. The bright light in the room made him squint as he looked around. The morning sun streamed in through the slightly open window, casting warm rays across the floor.

He realized he had fallen asleep in the living room. Slowly getting up, he glanced around, disoriented. The weight of everything that had happened yesterday hung heavy on him. The room felt empty and too quiet, the silence only amplifying his worry for Lisa.
