As Mello navigated the bustling city streets, his mind raced with worry. With one hand gripping the steering wheel and the other clutching his phone, he attempted to dial Kelan's number yet again, but the call failed to connect. Frustration simmered beneath his skin as he replayed their missed appointments in his mind.

The honking of horns and the blur of passing cars barely registered as Mello mulled over possible explanations for Kelan's absence. Did he forget about their meeting? Was he stuck in traffic? Or worse, was he in some kind of trouble?

Kelan never missed an appointment which was the more reason it bothered him.

Despite the urgency pulsing through his veins, Mello knew he had to focus on the road ahead. Taking a deep breath, he made a split-second decision to pull over at the next available spot. With the car safely parked, he retrieved his laptop from the passenger seat and began composing an email to Kelan, his fingers tapping out his concerns with a sense of urgency
