thirty eight- broken trust

Ana thought for a while, her mind wandering to Mello's maid, Deya.

She hastily turned to Mello.

" Was it Deya, answer me!" She shouted, her pain booming in her voice.

Her fists were clenched at her sides as she stared hard at Mello.

Mello shook his head slowly, trying to remember.

His memories flashing before him like the scattered pieces of a puzzle

He was sure, he never ate her food not more than twice.

So she can't be the one.

Ana's eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing through Mello's confused face. She could sense his hesitation, his struggle to piece together his thoughts and patiently calmed the anger boiling inside of her.

She won't allow whoever did this go unpunished.

Mello wondered for a moment.

His mind went to Kelan and their eyes met.

Most of what he ate, he was the one who got it for him and he clearly recollected Kelan was the one who gave him the coffee he drank last.

Kelan, understanding the piercing guilty gaze, instantly went down on his knees.
