"Hey! Alarick and Maurice went to the main room where the group of morose looking officers sat. They all had a look of betrayal written on their face. Alarick barged into the guest room where Charlotte was being held. He held a VCR in his hands and dropped it on the side table. Charlotte stood in shock at his abrupt entry. He walked closer to her causing her to scuffle backwards."What are you doing?""Are you ready to talk?" Alarick pulled up to Scarlett's mansion in a black Jaeger tuxedo without the tie and matched it with a complementary Jaeger-LeCoultre wrist watch. He wondered if what he was doing was right. Yes, Scarlett helped him out and this was meant to be his payment but taking another man's wife to dinner just seemed wrong. Should he go back before she even noticed he had arrived? Alarick pulled up to his mansion and drove his car into the garage. He entered his home and went straight to his room. He passed the guest room where Charlotte was being held making a mental check to go back the next morning and speak to her again to try and get her to confess. Once Alarick got into his room, he plopped down onto his bed and sighed. He had expected Scarlet to come onto him but he didn't expect her to kiss him like that and he also didn't expect to like it. It's not like he wanted to have an affair with her but when you haven't been intimate in a long time, it takes a toll on you sometimes .Alarick sat up and removed his jacket and shoes. Alarick went to the room where Charlotte was being held. He opened the door and stepped into the room. Two guards stood at opposite sides of the room. They noticed Alarick and acknowledged him by giving him a status report."Good day sir. She tried to escape through the bathroom window earlier but after we caught her she's been a bit more cooperative. We suspect that she might still try something though that’s why we’re inside here and not outside the room."Alarick looked at a pouting Charlotte who folded her arms and sat cross legged on the bed. She looked at Alarick and rolled her eyes as she turned away."All right. I'll keep that in mind. Alarick and the rest of the men in the station had geared up. Each man wore a kevlar vest complete with a gun, baton and holster. The equipment the station had wouldn't have been enough but Alarick had made a call for that also. The door was kicked open and the men silently rushed into the room holding their guns up. The room had an open floor plan but was completely wrecked. Rat droplets, broken glass, discarded containers. They could only guess what would be in the other parts of the room.Alarick and Maurice took the lead and sneaked up behind the two low columns that separated the room from the kitchen. A sound like the clattering of pans rang through the room and they all alertly turned towards the sound. It came from a room behind them. Slowly, the two officers advanced towards the door with Alarick and Maurice following behind them. They all relaxed before the door was slightly opened up by one of the officers. He peeped through the crack and saw a figure squatting down in a corner of the bathroom. He winced at the smell that came out of the room but he ignored it.
