Now that the third clan had been taken out, it seemed as though things were just getting started.

The defeat of the third clan had passed as a warning to the other clan that they were in deep trouble and Saint was not going to take it easy on them, neither was he going to forgive them for what they connived to do to him.

But little did Saint know that even though he had already taken out three clans, the battle was just at its peak.

This mysterious figure who sti hid in the shadows and gave orders to the other clans had been angered but he was a force to reckon with and although Saint had not met this man yet, he knew that taking this man out was not going to be an easy feat.

Saint was already tired of going after each clans and wanted to get on with things once and for all. And if he wanted to end things as quickly as possible, he would have to take out this head that was still holding the other three clans together.

Saint had just finished his meal when he was informed that the

As soon as the meeting was over, Saint had the men dismissed and promised that they would have another meeting soon to delibrate on the issue. He was surprised to find out that as soon as he left the study room, dusk had already befallen the clan so he began making his way into the chamber with the intention of falling asleep immediately. Saint lay in his bed, staring at the ceiling, his mind refusing to let him rest. No matter how much he tried, Victoria's face kept appearing in his thoughts. The way she had looked at him the last time they had met, the way her voice had trembled slightly when she spoke—it all played over and over in his head. He clenched his fists, frustrated with himself. He had been through countless battles, faced enemies who wanted to tear him apart, yet it was Victoria who had the power to disrupt his peace. It was strange because he had not had the chance to think about her amidst the chaos and the thoughts of her was suddenly clouding his memory. It had not been up to twenty four hours since Saint had told Gerald that Victoria had been kidnapped and he was already back with news .Saint felt hope for the first time when Gerald told him that he might have a clue on who must have kidnapped Victoria. He knew he was doing the right thing when he had involved Gerald, his only regret was that he had not told him about his marriage to Victoria any sooner. "So what did you find concerning her, do you know where she is....who kidnapped her?!" Saint asked him all at once. "Uhm, yes I did and what I found might be a bit concerning, come take a look at this!" Gerald said with an indistinguishable look in his eyes as he dropped spread out some papers in front of Saint. Saint yanked them immediately from the table and began running his eyes through them. "I really don't know who this man is, but I went out yesterday, just like you asked me and I began asking some questions. She was last found at the mall and some people who owned nearb

Victoria’s eyes fluttered open, and for a moment, she felt as though she had woken up from a dream. The walls surrounding her were nothing like the lavish rooms of the Zlate villa. They were made of rough stone, cold and uninviting, a clear indication that she was no longer home. Her head throbbed from the struggle that had brought her here, but strangely, no one was guarding her. The door to the room where she had been left was slightly ajar, allowing a sliver of dim torchlight to seep through. She hesitated at first. It could be a trap, she thought. But as time passed and no one came to check on her, curiosity took hold. Slowly, she pushed the door open further and stepped out. The hallway stretched before her, illuminated by the glow of torches fixed onto the walls. The place seemed deserted. There was no sign of the men who had taken her, no harsh voices ordering her back inside. Was this an oversight? Did they simply not care what she did? Victoria could not tell. Her heart pound

The wheels of the car crunched against the gravel as Saint and Gerald rode in silence. Gerald was upset that Saint had not allowed them to ride with any guard to protect them at least. Saint kept his hands firm on the steering while Gerald sat beside him, one hand resting on the edge of his seat. They had traveled these lands countless times, knew every path, every hidden turn, and every road that led to the six clans. But now, something was different.“This isn’t right,” Gerald muttered under his breath, breaking the silence between them. His eyes flickered with unease as he peered ahead. "This road looks unfamiliar." It was a path neither of them had taken before, a road that shouldn’t exist.Saint pressed down on the brakes and turned to look at Gerald. “We followed the directions exactly,” he said, his voice steady but laced with suspicion. “If Victoria is being held captive, then this is the way.”Gerald scoffed. “And if this is a trap?”Saint’s jaw clenched. He didn’t need Ger

Saint could not hide his astonishment when he realised that there was an opening at the end of the entrance and a car with a driver in the front seat was waiting patiently for them. Gerald and Saint both exchanged puzzled glances."I think we should turn back now!" Gerald leaned toward Saint to say, "...and you're not going to make us get into that car, would you?" He added as didn't ignored the first thing he had said. "You know that I can hear you both, right?" The strange man said aloud, his voice ringing through the trees. Saint suddenly paused in his tracks. "Tell us where exactly you're taking us to. If I find out that there's a trap for me waiting ahead, I will not hesitate to rip your head from your body." Saint threatened. The man suddenly stopped walking and turned around to face both men. There was not a single trace of fear in his face. "Understood." The man said, nodding his head and continued walking, expecting the both of them to follow suit. Gerald's eyes widened

As soon as they got into the ancient Fortress, they found the strange man already seated at the far end of the chamber. Gerald pondered how he had gotten there so quickly in just a short period of time. "You haven't answered my question yet, mister. Who gave you that tattoo on your arm?" Saint Inquired from the strange man the moment he got into the fortress. "You two should have a seat first." The strange man said to them, gesturing toward the seats in front of him. "We have not come to jolly with you!" Saint said to the man rudely. He had been patient enough with the man and he wasn't going to take it anymore. "Where is Victoria and why do you have that tattoo on your arm?" Saint asked him again. "Why are you asking me so many questions at once. Which do you want me to answer first?" The strange man asked but Saint kept mute and continued staring at him with fury in his eyes. The strange man let out a loud sigh, while the corners of his lips curled up. "Alright, I'm going to

At the far end of the room, Vic stood with an amused smirk, her arms crossed. Her presence exuded power—dark and overwhelming. She tilted her head slightly as she observed Saint, her eyes gleaming with malice.“You finally came,” she said smoothly, stepping forward. “I was beginning to think you had abandoned them.”Saint ignored her taunt, his gaze locked onto Victoria. Her chest rose and fell faintly—she was alive, but barely. His fists clenched at his sides.“Let them go, Vic.” His voice was calm but laced with deadly intent. “This ends now.”Vic chuckled. “Oh, Saint. You always think you can swoop in like a hero and fix everything. But you don’t understand… I’ve already won.”"Drop the dagger, Vic...." Saint ordered again, ignoring what she had said, "don't make this any harder than it is." He added. "But it already is. Someone should offer him a chair already, the show is just about to start." She said and erupted into another round of laughter. Saint was about to launch himself

Saint cut through the thick branches with the sword Sayid had handed over to him. He was relieved that he was able to convince him to head back to the clan with the others. He had seen the disappointment in his face when he told him that he couldn't afford to take him any farther than they had already come, and it was far too dangerous for Sayid to continue the journey with him. It was getting darker by every passing minute and Saint knew that he had to get on with his journey quickly. For some reason unknown to the others, Saint could sense that Vic was close by and these creatures that he had just battled with had been a decoy to distract them from the actual mission they had embarked on. He continued cutting down more branches as he walked. The sensation around him grew, signalling to him that he was already closer to Vic than he thought. He tightened his grip on the hilt of the sword and intensified the effort he used in cutting down more of the trees, clearing his path. The c

"I'm not moving an inch from here until I see Saint!" Gerald said stubbornly, adjusting his legs more comfortable on the ground but making sure that his legs didn't touch the creature. His eyes were still fixated on the creature. He had still not given up in trying to make out what it was and where they had come from. "Well then, suit yourself." Sayid said and started walking away. The stench that came from him was foul and immediately made the air unbearable to breathe. "Where are you going to, Sayid? We can't just leave Saint here all by himself!" Gerald said, his voice trembling with fear. "He's fine, you chicken heart, he just wants to set some things out for himself." Sayid said. He suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned to face both men. He had noticed that something wasn't right. "Where are all the soldiers?!" He asked. "Most of them are dead, I think the rest ran away!" Steward replied. "Including my men?!" Sayid asked angrily. "Every single one of them...""How pat

He tried to get a glimpse of his life flashing before him as his eyes were shut tight. He swallowed the bile in his throat for the umpteenth time and breathing heavily—the smell of death hissing past his nostrils. He didn't need a soothsayer to tell him that his time had finally come, he could feel the power from the creature growing stronger by every passing minute and the hot drool from its mouth descending on him. "Spare my life, I beg of you!" Gerald clasped his palms in a form of a plea and raised it above his head. He hoped in his heart that the creature understood what he was saying. "Spare my life and I'd do anything that you want me to!" He said again and his hands fell weakly onto the floor, grabbing the soil in front of him. His whole body shivered from the cold that was seeping through his veins, never had he been faced with such situation. "I never should have left the car," he repeated. A loud shriek from the creature shook the leaves on the trees causing Gerald to c

Max wiped the perspiration off his forehead with his sleeve and dusted his hands. He was satisfied with how deep the hole was even though a pretty large part of it had not been his effort. "Come on, we need to bury him quickly before someone comes." Max said aloud. They had carried Max's lifeless body to an area where nobody would find it, not even Vic herself, except by some means of magic, but even if she would have, they would have all been long gone. "Certainly." The second guard replied and started breaking the rocks nearby that they were going to use in burying Drake. The plan was to level the spot they would bury Drake as much as possible and fill the place up with rocks. If anyone has plans of digging the place up, they would get a second thought—who buried people with rocks in than age. "It's all done." The second hairs let out, panting heavily. It was at that point that Saint realised where they were. Why hadn't he sensed that something was wrong on time, it seemed as though a cloak had been removed from his eyes. "No one should step down from the car!" Saint ordered when the car had been brought to a halt. "Oh you don't need to tell me that twice. I already know what's going on....if you had just listened to me earlier..." Gerald grumbled and folded his hands. Despite the eerie environment that they were in, he felt no single iota of fear and instead disappointment toward Saint for not believing him earlier on. "I'm going to go check it out." Saint said and without giving them any chance to process their thoughts, he was already out of the car. Gerald's lips parted slightly in bewilderment. He wanted to say something but then hesitated and kept silent. "Aren't you coming, Gerald, I'm going with him." Sayid said, cutting through Gerald's line of thoughts. "Are you out of your damn mind?!" Gerald exclaimed. Sayid chuck

Not a single sound was heard from the warriors as they journeyed on, with Saint leading them on. Lord Magnus had offered to accompany them on the journey, but Saint had insisted that he stayed back so he wouldn't risk getting killed. Lord Magnus had tried to convince Saint that his conscience wouldn't let him stay back and he had to be by Saint's side, but Saint still insisted that he had to stay back with the clan. "Are you sure of where we heading to, Saint?" Gerald asked with confused brows as he noticed that they had been turning around in circles and it seemed like the fifth time they had passed through this particular route. Saint who had been struggling to keep back his confusion finally let out, "this has to be the route, it has to be here. Unless, it's either of two things; Vic is leading us into a trap or this isn't the route that leads to where she has asked that I come to get Drake and Victoria." "We have to turn back around, Saint. We can't continue embarking on a jou

They shook him fervently to make sure that he had been knocked out before they carried his body off of the floor and flung him into his cell. The first guard hurriedly locked the cell and watched Drake's body for a while. His brows creased as worry settled beneath his stomach when he noticed that something was deeply wrong. Drake's body wasn't moving and the regular rise and fall of his chest to induce that he was still breathing was absent. "Did you kill him?!" The first guard's voice trembled as he spoke, "i said did you kill him?!" He asked against in a loud tone but made sure it wasn't loud enough to be heard by Vic. "What do you mean by that, of course we did not!" Another guard replied this time. "Then why is he not breathing?!" The first guard's heart began to pound vigorously in his chest, "Move aside let's see." The other guards shoved him to the side as they made their way forward to see for themselves. They all stared with grave intensity, waiting for Drake's body to
