"I told you that she wouldn't listen to me!" Victoria's mother said to lord Zlate when she had barged into his study unannounced.

"What....how did it go?!" Lord Zlate replied In a rather calm manner, he had envisaged that she would not want to accept to go back to Saint after all what they had done to him and what they had made Victoria do to him.

"She sent me out of her room. I don't think I would ever go back to her room in a long while." Victoria's mother said bitterly.

"You have to calm down, darling. Don't be hard on her....I think that we have been hard on her all this while that's why she is acting the way she is....."

"Then we have to do something about it!" Victoria's mother stated.

"We will have to, I think I should go talk to myself." Lord Zlate Intoned, getting up from his seat.

"You should have done that a long time ago instead of sending me to her." She said in an irritated voice and sank into another chair that was just beside Lord Zlate's chair.

Victoria sat on the edge of her bed, her fingers absentmindedly tracing the pattern of the bedsheet. Her mind was clouded, her emotions tangled in a storm of frustration, sadness, and anger. Her mother’s words still echoed in her head, asking her to remarry Saint now that they knew of his power. The very thought made her chest tighten. How dare they? After forcing her to leave him, after ruining her happiness, they now expected her to go back to him as if nothing had happened? A soft knock on the door pulled her from her thoughts. "You have to get on with what you have to say quickly, father." Victoria said, her eyes still glued to the wine. He ignored his daughter's words and placed the bottle and glasses down before pulling out a chair and sitting across from her. "You’ve been through a lot," he said as he uncorked the bottle. "More than you should have." Victoria crossed her arms and looked away. "Is that supposed to be an apology?" Her father sighed, pouring the wine i

"You cannot go back there now, Saint, please, they would kill you!" Gerald begged. He was bent on making sure that Saint did not move from where he was but Saint was equally as stubborn and wanted to get on with things. "You don't understand, Gerald, I have to end this once and for all." Saint Intoned and clutching his chest tightly. He had not noticed until now that he had been injured during battle. "Those people think that they are sleek, hunh but I'm so going to show them the stuff that I'm made off.""Right now, whatever you're made of is waning because you have not only been injured, you've been poisoned. Whatever they stabbed you with has delayed the poison from surfacing until now...." Gerald replied but Saint still kept breathing heavily, thinking of how he was going to take them all out in just one blow. But he knew as much as Gerald that it wouldn't be possible. "You just have to calm down and heal yourself." He said, his eyes shifting to the wound Saint placed his han

Saint sat in his chamber, his breathing slow and controlled. His body had endured the torment of poison, a cruel enemy that had drained him of his strength and left him vulnerable. But time had passed, and now, his body was healing. He could feel his muscles regaining their power, the sharpness returning to his reflexes. Steward had been right. "You will recover," Steward had assured him, standing by his bedside when he had been at his weakest. "Your body is strong, stronger than you even realize. It won’t betray you." Saint had doubted it then. The poison had felt like fire in his veins, his limbs sluggish, his vision blurred. He had struggled to move, let alone fight. But now, as he flexed his fingers and stretched his arms, he knew Steward had spoken the truth. He was not only recovering—he was growing stronger. Still, something about the experience unsettled him. The poison had nearly taken him down, and for the first time in a long time, he had felt powerless. He hated

There were shouts and ululations flying across as the man's back met the floor with a loud thud. "How dare you. I can see that you do not have any respect or the ability to recognise a trye leader when you see one!" Saint spat out in anger, hovering over the man who was struggling endlessly to get up from the floor. When Saint saw that the man was about the get up from the floor, he placed his leg on top of his chest, to prevent him from rising further. "Stay down, I am not done with you yet!" Saint barked at the man. The look on the man's face did not in any way mirror the agony that was coursing through him. Saint raised his eyes brows. "Oh I see now. I see that you enjoy torture!" Saint let out slowly, thinking of how to tackle him next when the man's next words blocked Saint's thoughts. "Never in my entire life have I been thrown to the floor so unexpectedly by anyone before. You truly emit so much power." The man said. Saint didn't understand what the man was saying, but h

Sayid had never been on time to any event before, so it was unlikely that he would get to the imperial building at the time he had been invited to come. But he wanted to make sure that he got to the imperial building in time and by all means. The grand hall of Saint’s estate was lit by the warm glow of lanterns, casting long shadows against the ornate wooden walls. The scent of roasted meat and exotic spices filled the air, promising a meal fit for warriors. At the head of the large dining table, Saint sat, waiting. His expression was calm, but his golden eyes held a sharpness that never faded. Sayid, the most powerful student in the martial world, had become his loyal subordinate—a surprising turn of events that no one had seen coming. Sayid was notorious for his arrogance, his stubbornness, and, above all, his inability to arrive on time for anything. But tonight was different. Saint had invited him to dinner, and Sayid was determined to make an impression that he was punctual

Saint had said to Sayid when he had arrived with another batch of one his most skilled fighters. "The only battle I'd be fighting, will be alongside you, master!" Sayid had assured him .Saint had replied with a smile on his face and when he told Gerald of his gesture, Gerald was beyond baffled and had no words to describe the act that Sayid had done. "He is practically unarming himself!" Gerald remarked, "He's handing all of his men over to you, Saint.""I know right....and to say that you never trusted him." Saint said to Gerald. The battle that Drake had had with Victoria or rather, the woman he had believed to be Victoria replayed in his mind over and over again. Saint said to himself, his gaze falling onto the floor. "Who?" Drake asked him. "Hunh?" Saint asked, lifting his gaze slowly to meet his brother's. He didn't think that Drake had heard him talking to himself. "Who is never going to forgive you?" Drake clarified. "Oh, uhm..."
