CHAPTER 223

The sterile, white-walled hospital reception area felt oppressive, the air thick with tension and worry. Ryan, Rookson, and Imran sat on the hard, plastic bench, each lost in their own thoughts as they waited anxiously for news of Nicholas's condition.

The reception was a very busy place, glancing at your right side, you'd see people weeping and at your left side, you'd see some wailing and trying to fight with the doctors. Alot of people there were grieving - but loss was always greater than loss.

Ryan's gaze was fixed on his phone's screen, his fingers trembling as he dialed a number, his mind racing with a thousand unanswered questions. He had been trying to reach out to as many people as he could, but none of them was answering a their call.
