They finally arrived at the new hospital where Mr. Xavier had been transferred to. The urgency of the situation propelled the medical team into action, rushing him to the ward for immediate treatment.

"It's Mr. Avendano, Lord Avendano's first son... We must try our best to save him." One of the doctors said as they rushed him into the ward.

Immediately Nicholas saw the old and experienced doctor that would be treating Xavier, he was rest assured that he was in good hand, but still he couldn't get the thought of doing the treatment himself off his head. He anxiously waited at the entrance of the theater, his hopes pinned on Xavier's swift recovery.

Time seemed to stretch as Nicholas anxiously waited, his mind consumed with worry. Not only about Xavier, but about Lord Avendano... One thing Nicholas was certain of was that Maria had a plan... But what plan? She and Alex looked very suspicious, but Nicholas didn't want to start assuming.

As Nicholas walked out of the theatre, the crisp night air filled his lungs, refreshing him after the intense emotions he had experienced during the performance. The thunderous applause still lingered in his ears as he made his way towards the exit, eager to find a quiet place to gather his thoughts. It made sense how quickly these doctors were able to believe that Nicholas was indeed the chairman of the Royal group. They were all involved in medicines and they knew whoever could have taken over Old Royal Master, the former chairman of the Royal group, must be someone as talented as he was. The older doctors noticed Niçholas skills and movement was the same as Old Royal Master, so they needed no form of identification before they could believe him. Suddenly, a voice called out to him, breaking the silence that enveloped the scene. "One moment, Master Nicholas," a doctor said, approaching him with a warm smile on his face. "If you don't mind, I would love to grab a few

The security men that were dragging Nicholas out of the hospital cafeteria stopped when they heard a voice, "stop," that reverberated through the cafeteria. The sound of it echoed through the room, commanding attention and freezing everyone in place. And then appeared, Dr. Martinez, an elderly gentleman with graying hair and a deeply lined face. He was the president of NewYork-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell. Dr. Martinez's presence demanded respect. His posture was straight, his gaze sharp with intelligence behind the spectacles perched on his nose. He wore a white lab coat, its sleeves slightly frayed from years of dedicated service to medicine. His hands, weathered and etched with age, revealed the countless lives he had touched and saved throughout his illustrious career. The cafeteria fell into an expectant silence, all eyes fixed on the commanding figure of Dr. Martinez. He exuded an aura of authority, an innate understanding of the complex

Dr. Martinez walked alongside Nicholas, his head hung low, "I am really sorry for what transpired in the cafeteria today, find a place in your heart to forgive me." Nicholas, however, wore a smirk on his face, his eyes filled with amusement. "It's alright, Dr. Martinez." Nicholas said, his voice laced with a hint of playfulness. "I've already forgotten about it." The words hung in the air for a moment before Dr. Martinez found the courage to respond. "I appreciate your understanding, Dr. Nicholas." He mumbled quietly. As they entered the hospital, a nurse hurriedly approached the group, her expression filled with urgency. "Doctors, Mr. Xavier Avendano has awakened!" she exclaimed. "Oh that's a good news, please what time

Nicholas's heart clenched with worry as he furiously tapped his fingers on the screen of his phone, desperately trying to reach India. Despite charging his phone to full capacity and dialing her number repeatedly, there was no response. It was as if she was deliberately ignoring his calls, leaving him in a state of utter confusion and apprehension. The night passed with Nicholas restlessly tossing and turning in the plush, VIP room that had been provided for him in the hospital. Morning arrived with a soft caress of gentle light filtering through the curtains, coaxing Nicholas from his fitful sleep. He reached for his phone again, with a flicker of hope, only to be met with disappointment once again. India remained out of reach, her number unavailable. Frustrated and annoyed, Nicholas walked out from his room and made his way towards Xavier's ward room. Inside, Xavier lay soundly asleep, his body weakly illuminated by the soft, filtered light of the room. There w

"Who is calling?" Nicholas's voice quivered as he asked. India looked up, her voice barely above a whisper as she muttered, "Alex? It's Alex." "No way!! I hope it's not what I'm thinking. Please, answer the call." Nicholas said, sweat breaking down from his forehead. Curiously, India answered the call and gingerly placed her phone against her ear. With bated breath, she asked, "Alex, why are you calling? What's wrong?" "I... I... I have a piece of bad news, India,"Alex said. India could sense a tremor in Alex's voice as he barely managed to speak. Fear and shock slowly crept into the depths of her being, her eyes instinctively searching for her husband, Nicholas, who stood just inches away. With a soft breath, India mustered the strength to ask the question lurking in her heart. "And what is the bad news, Alex?" she inquired, her voice quivering, the weight of anticipation hanging heavy in the air. Silence fell over the other end, each moment stretching agon

"What skeleton? Whose cupboard?" Yerins leaned against the hospital reception desk, his gaze piercing through India as a deep frown creased her forehead. The tension in the air was palpable, like a storm brewing in the distance. India knew but of one thing and that was that Lord Avendano was dead. Could it be murder? Suicide? She had no idea but whatever Nicholas said, she believed he had a genuine reason. With pain and anger in his eyes, Yerins closed the distance between them, his voice resonating with urgency. "We can't keep delaying Lord Avendano's funeral," Yerins spoke, his voice low and commanding. "If we try to postpone it, everything will be messed up. We all need to come to an agreement as family, everyone needs to understand that Lord Avendano died of natural causes, and not because of some sinister act of murder. Grow up guys." Nicholas, a cunning smirk plastered on his face, interjected with a sceptical tone, his voice laced with doubt. "But how can we

Nicholas and India sat in their dimly lit bedroom, the air heavy with the weight of the silence that surrounded them. The room felt still, as if time itself had frozen in anticipation of their conversation. Nicholas, lost in thought, absentmindedly ran his fingers through his hair, deep lines etched on his forehead, while India watched him intently from the bed. Finally, unable to bear the silence any longer, India broke the stillness with a soft question. "Nics baby, I really don't know what's going on in your mind and... and... I just don't know... you're not telling me anything. Why do you believe Lord Avendano was murdered? The doctors did their thing and confirmed it was cardiac arrest," Her voice was gentle, filled with a mix of curiosity and concern. Nicholas looked up, his piercing blue eyes meeting India's, as he pondered her question. He ran a hand across his stubbled jawline before speaking with conviction. He locked eyes with Nicholas, searching for any hint of deception. "What are you talking about? How is that possible?" Xavier asked, his voice laced with both desperation and curiosity. Nicholas smiled gently, his eyes glinting with a hidden knowledge. Slowly, he reached into his pocket and retrieved his phone, "Actually, father... The Royal group has a particular product in which if you make use of religiously, you will be able to walk earlier." With a graceful gesture, he unveiled a picture of a product that seemed almost too good to be true. Xavier couldn't help but feel a surge of bafflement. "The Royal group has a product that can help me... in just a week?" Nicholas nodded affirmatively, his smile widening. "Indeed, father in-law. This product holds the power to change your life. "Ryan, make research on every possible place Malakai could be at the moment and the kinds of appointments he have. You need to be quick with it," he said, his voice laced with urgency. Ryan nodded, already moving towards the study. "I'll get started on it right away," he assured, his footsteps echoing down the hall. An hour later, Ryan returned, a triumphant gleam in his eye. "I think I've found something," he announced, handing Nicholas a sheet of paper. "What is it?" Nicholas asked, his gaze scanning the document. "The last call Malakai made was to a man named Alvonso, he also made a call last night to the same man," Ryan explained. "They agreed to meet at a place called 'Dark Centre.' I don't know where that is, do you?" Nicholas felt a chill run down his spine. "Dark Centre," he murmured, his expression darkening. "Yes. I know it well. Malakai has used it as a

Nicholas sat in his lounge, staring pensively out the window as he munched on the fresh fruit arranged on the table before him. The late afternoon sun cast a warm glow through the glass, illuminating the worry etched on his brow. He had much to contemplate. While Nicholas was munching on the fruits, Ryan, strode into the room. Ryan's expression was unreadable as he placed a manila file on the table in front of Nicholas. "I have some news," he said simply, grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl and taking a bite. Nicholas looked up, his eyes narrowing. "Good news or bad news? All I've been hearing you guys tell me since I came back is bad news, I don't want anymore." he asked cautiously. Ryan shrugged noncommittally. "That depends on how you look at it, I don't know if it's good or bad," he replied, chewing contemplatively. Feeling a growing sense of unease, Nicholas sat up straighter. "Well, what is it then?" he pressed. With a heavy sigh, Ryan met Nichola

"I want to be here, to make sure you're safe. He knows you're alive now, he might wanna try something stupid." Alexander smiled, his eyes brightening with relief. "Thank you, India. I'm glad you're here." The next morning, India rose early. She had slept fitfully, her dreams plagued by visions of her cousin in peril and Malakai's betrayal. As she dressed, she glanced back at Alexander, who was still soundly asleep. "I'll be back soon," she whispered, pausing to press a kiss to his forehead before slipping out of the room.

Maybe this time around, he'd be able to talk or say something. Suddenly, a familiar beeping from her phone disrupted the hum of the engine. India's brow furrowed as she glanced down, her eyes landing on the message notification that had just popped up. It was from the unknown number again. Her heart skipped a beat, as she clicked on the message and she read the ominous words: "You did a great job with Nimah. While I am very not satisfied with what you did, I am willing to reward you. And here I am, carrying his baby in my womb. A dream come true, if you ask me." The room erupted into a cacophony of shocked exclamations, the family members struggling to comprehend the Nimah's words. India stepped out of her room, her carefully made-up face masking the tiredness etched on her soul. Three sleepless nights had taken their toll, her worry for Alexander's recovery consuming her every waking moment. The doctor had to assure her that Alexander would be fine before she agreed to go home. India's grasped the doorknob, taking a deep breath before pulling the door open. It's another day to go check on Alexander, hoping he would finally be able to say a word to her. As the door opened fully, her eyes landed on the figure standing before her. India's brow furrowed in confusion, her mind racing to piece together why Nimah would be waiting at her doorstep. "Nimah?" she questioned, a slight edge to her tone. "What are you doing here? What the hell? You scared me... How long have you been standing there?" Nimah swallowed hard, her gaz
