Sullivan managed a weak smile, though it did little to mask the turmoil within him.

"I feel like it too," he admitted, running a hand through his disheveled hair.

"Did you even get any sleep."

Sullivan turned his eyes lazily at john.

"What do you think?"

"Right." John remarked as he gave a nod.

John moved to the counter, pouring himself a cup of coffee before taking a seat across from Sullivan.

The silence between them was heavy, laden with unspoken worries and unaddressed fears.

After a long sip of his coffee, John finally spoke.

"I take it things didn’t go well with Erica?"

Sullivan sighed deeply, his shoulders slumping.

"No, they didn’t. She’s so hurt, John. I don’t know how to fix this."

John nodded thoughtfully, his gaze steady and he sighed before he slouch on the couch.

"You’ve always been good at fixing things, Sullivan. But some wounds… some wounds need time, not quick fixes."
