As dawn broke, a soft light filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over the room.

Erica stirred, the events of the previous day rushing back to her. Sullivan was already awake, sitting at the small desk by the window, poring over maps and documents. He looked up as Erica sat up in bed, stretching.

"Morning my love." he greeted her with a tired smile.

"Did you manage to get some rest?"

"Some," Erica replied, running a hand through her hair.

"I see you didn't sleep much."

Sullivan shrugged.

"There's too much to be done. I was going over our plans for the South. We need to be ready for anything."

Erica got out of bed and joined him at the desk.

"Let's review everything once more before we meet with our supporters."

Sullivan nodded, handing her a sheet of paper.

Erica's eyes lit up in surprise because Sullivan barely told her anything of his plans ever since the incident with the masked man.
