The prisoners were taken to a freezing room, like a human refrigerator, as a punishment for misbehavior. Sadly, many prisoners didn't survive the extreme cold. It was a harsh and cruel way to discipline them.

Erica took a quick look around and noticed that the other women were huddling together, clearly feeling the chill. It was clear that the cold was starting to affect them.

She realized that without their assistance, she would never have been able to pull off that daring maneuver in the boiler room.
