"No one knew Arthur was gone, Mrs Reynolds. Not even me. Then how do you know my stepbrother left his two subsidiaries alone without authorising him to run the business here? Do you know something?"

Suddenly, Jill looked the other way. Her hands, which had been clasped arrogantly, now looked limp as she was busy making excuses.

"Everyone who knows him even better knows that Arthur hasn't been here since your wedding. No one saw Arthur at your and Shannon's wedding. Nor was he among the entrepreneurs present in the Reynolds Industries ballroom. So why should I know something after deducing it myself after looking at everything from the other side?"
