Instead of trembling in fear, Aland laughed and nodded as if he was expecting them. Without hesitation, he sat down at the end of his desk as he waited for them to resume their conversation.

Jill looked even angrier. Her gaze was as sharp as a knife, ready to stab at any moment, and she tapped the table with her forefinger repeatedly.

"What do you really want to show by reporting Lia, Cobb? You want to give her a bad name, huh?"

Aland remained silent. He tucked a finger between his other fingers.

"Bringing a lawyer here wouldn't be a bad idea, mum. But suing me about Lia, that would be very bad for your popularity, mum."

Camellia moved away with a sharp glare. Her eyes were narrowed, as if she was demanding an answer to a question she had never asked. She held her forefinger in front of Cobb's face as if she were making an actual threat.

"No matter how hard you try to make me fall, I won't fall easily, damn Cobb!"
