"I'm fine, and it will still be fine to see you and Junior Shannon. Really am."

Shannon remained silent, waiting for Aland's unspoken promise. Her gaze was sharp enough, as if to remind him to keep his promise no matter what, to make Aland blush.

"Okay, I promise. Are you happy now?"

Shannon nodded slowly with a friendly smile. She hugged Aland's right arm so that she could express her delayed indulgence.

"Since we promised, can we go home now, Aland? I'm really tired of staying here all day long. I wanted to call Pete and ask how he was doing, but Cedric told me not to."

Aland got up slowly and grasped Shannon's hand tightly. "Want to go out for dinner?"

Suddenly, Shannon nodded quickly. She got up and hugged Aland's arm tightly. She followed him out of the room without changing her clothes.

"Are you taking me to a hotel? Or dinner at a restaurant with a beautiful view? Or are we going to eat in front of a sandy beach with the sound of waves crashing?"
