"A letter? From who? I never even put a letter in there. Maybe Shannon."

Pete's voicemail reply made Aland chuckle softly. He opened the handwritten letter messily. Before he finally sat down and swallowed hard.

His shoulders still ached like crazy as he quickly placed the letter on the table, leaving the house after grabbing the jacket he couldn't wear without help. He grabbed the car keys before finally driving off, wandering into a fairly quiet street.

It only took a moment for Aland to get there, to the prison, where Arthur would serve the rest of his life sentence. He let out a long sigh as he convinced himself that he had done his best for many things.

Without hesitation, Aland entered the prison, and sat down in the waiting room to get a visitation time. Luckily, the queue wasn't long enough for him to enter after an hour's wait.
