CHAPTER 172

Liam gulped loudly, his eyes darting everywhere but at Adrian. The underlying darkness in Adrian’s words was enough for terror to crawl down his spine.

Taking a deep breath to momentarily nullify the pain shooting up his ribs, he responded, still refusing to meet Adrian’s gaze.

“I promise to stay out of your way from now on,” Liam said, his voice sounding sincere, but Adrian knew better than to believe him.

He just hoped that for his sake, he was actually being truthful, otherwise he would face the consequences, and boy, would they be dire.

“Please forgive me,” Liam added, his face now paling considerably due to the amount of pain he was feeling.

Adrian ignored his plea for forgiveness, and instead, walked away from him and towards Blaze, who stood with both an amazed and slightly apprehensive expression.

He bowed respectfully as soon as Adrian reached him.

“Kindly take the two men to the hospital and ensure they are properly treated,” Adrian instructed in an authoritative voice, and
