Previously, on Sword Of Vengeance

With deliberate intent, Lord Aluka stretched his hand into the void and a brilliant jade sword materialized in his grip, pulsating with ancient energy.

Effortlessly, he raised the blade and brought it down upon the thick, enchanted chain.

A deafening clang shattered the silence, sending shockwaves rippling through the four corners of the world.

The chain ignited upon impact, glowing with intricate runes that flickered and dimmed before fading entirely.

A crimson glow bled from the point of contact, and in an instant, the chain split apart.

As if responding to his will, the jade sword vanished from Lord Aluka’s grasp.

He took measured steps toward the bound figure of Gachin, his emerald flames flickering ominously in his palms.

Wild, yet harmless, as if they were a natural extension of his being.

He pressed his burning palm against Gachin’s forehead.

Kalus plummeted through the void, his screams swallowed by the endless expanse of shifting, prismatic light. The world above spiralled away, shrinking into a distant pinprick of sunlight until it vanished altogether. Darkness enveloped him, and his consciousness dissolved into nothingness. He jolted. He gasped, coughing as he regained his senses. Cool, damp soil pressed against his cheek, gritty and damp. The distant roar of waves filled his ears, their rhythm steady and hypnotic. And slowly, he pushed himself up on trembling arms, blinking against the brightness of the sun now hanging low in the sky. Before him stretched an endless ocean, its waters shimmering with hues of gold and silver under the fading light. The salty breeze stung his face as he took in the vast, alien expanse. He touched his chest, confirming he was alive. But where was he? And more importantly, how had he survived? He groaned, crawling to the ocean, drinking greedily from its waves till he quenched his

"I won't let you die, I promise. " Kalus said sobbing. He began to rack his brain, desperately thinking of a way to save her. He knew for sure that he couldn't have leapt that high into the air without the help of the throbbing mark. If the mark could aid him in achieving a stunt like that, it should be able to save her in one way or the other. Although he doubts if it will ever work on his own accord, he's still willing to try. He gently laid Cathiana on the grass, removing the knife plunged into her heart and press down on the wound to stop the bleeding while he closed his eyes in agitation. "Heal! Heal !!" He muttered, frustration building as he tried to channel the mark on his wrist to work in his favour. "Shit !!" He cursed slamming his bloody palm on the grass beside her. "Why on earth is it not working? Focus! Kalus focus !" He rasp trying harder. Slowly, a sense of comfort washed over him, and his soul transcended to a serene realm surrounded by tranquil waters.

"I don't know, let's hope we're not in for another bad day." Lord Azril sighed and shook his head. About to unlock the carriage door, he paused hesitantly facing Princess Lirl again. "Lock this door behind me and don't do anything stupid till you hear from me". Lord Azril warned, gripping her slender shoulder. Despite seeing his daughter's paled face underneath the white veil there's nothing he could do. Princess Lirl bites her lower lips, fidgeting. "I promise.......but..." She started, but Lord Azril interrupted. "What?" Princess Lirl shook her head. "Nothing. Be safe out there." She muttered, caressing the ribbons attached to her gown nervously. Lord Azril nodded and patted her shoulders gently. "I will Lirl" With that, he climbed down from the carriage. And asked for a briefing from one of his warrio

Leaving Jenny with the responsibility of sanitising a small space inside and outside the tent with sage incense. After that, Jenny began to prepare a soft spot where the body was going to be laid. Princess Lirl, on the other hand, disappeared out of the tent briefly and appeared minutes later alongside General Bale and a box. "What do you need me to do?" General Bale asked, dusting his thigh. Princess Lirl's behaviour had somewhat changed towards him right after he agreed to help her. As to what her motive is, it's just a matter of time before he figures it out. "I need you to move the body to the bed here" Princess Lirl answered his question, tucking the strands dangling before her sweaty forehead behind her ears as she opened the box, revealing all sizes

"You may take your leave, Bale." Lord Azril sighed and settled back to sit. General Bale saluted one last time and turned to the door, opening it and disappearing behind it. He stopped briefly ruminating on what Lord Azril had discussed with him. He's right; after all, hoping that Princess Lirl could fall in love with him is wishful thinking. Instead of returning to her tent, he headed in the opposite direction. "Bale !" She called his name. General Bale froze in his tracks. She seems to be been waiting for him to come out. This lady will be his destruction if he isn't careful. Instead of turning to face her, he just continued walking onward. "Are you avoiding me now because my Father told you to ?" She asked, hurrying after him. "No " General Bale fired back, avoiding her. "What do you take me

Princess Lirl came out of nowhere and stood before him. She was wearing a transparent silver gown that illustrated her physique underneath. Her appearance tonight gave an impression of a warrior to General Bale. But he doubted if she could fight. "Ahem, can I sit?" She cleared her throat; she was kinda nervous.
