30: The blame

Alistair arrived and saw his wife. He hurriedly walked towards her and hugged her. With that, she started crying again.

"I am sorry I am late." he whispered.

Gina just closed her eyes and bring out every tear she has to bring out. She was lucky that she never gave the money to them, which they might have taken away.

"I am sorry. I didn't know they were just pretending. I should have seen and noticed it." she softly said.

Alistair just caressed her back and stopped her from crying.

"No, it's not your fault. It was good that you finally saw the truth. Come on, let's go somewhere else." he said.

Gina nodded and he wiped her tears. Alistair was so mad that he wanted to sue them all for doing that to her, but Gina just told him not to do anything, and their own karma will come and haunt them. Gina fell asleep because she was tired of crying. Alistair took her to a place where he usually stand by every time he needs to feel alone.

"This place never changed." he smiled.
