5. Accused

After eating, they thought Lady Vilma would just let them go but they were all wrong. She asked them again to clean the pool area. Dion knew she has been doing this for him to surrender and just leave Georgina but what she doesn’t know was that he had no plan doing that.

“Mr. Brown, Lady Vilma wants to talk to you.” one of the maids came.

Georgina worriedly looked at him. Dion just nodded.

“I’ll go with you.” she said and clung to his arm.

Dion chuckled a bit and shook his head while slowly removing her hand. He knew she was scared of what her grandmother might do to him.

“Hey, I’m okay. I can go by myself. Stay here.” he said.

She just took a deep breath and sighed. Dion followed the maid toward the living room. Lady Vilma looked at him and sighed.

“You’re here. Sit down.” he calmly told him.

Dion knew she was going to make him do something.

“Aren’t you feeling guilty that your wife and her parents were all suffering because of you?” Lady Vilma asked him and scoffed.

Dion closed his fists. He was feeling guilty, but he needed to be strong.

“I can’t surrender right now, lady Vilma.” he replied.

Lady Vilma just laughed at what he said and shook her head.

“You’re hard-headed, aren’t you? In that case, you all want them to be like this... Forever?” she smirked.

His eyes grew bigger and went very speechless. He doesn’t want it to be forever. Lady Vilma stood up and grabbed something and threw it in front of him.

“You can take that when you leave. We all know that if not because of my husband, you weren’t supposed to be here. We thanked you for saving him that time but... your time here was already done. So, leave and leave my granddaughter as well.” Lady Vilma firmly said.

Dion’s heart beats faster and angrily. He would never think she was going to use her money just for him to leave. Dion just looked at the money and scoffed. Lady Vilma was surprised that he mocked her.

“I can’t.” he answered.

Her eyes grew bigger and got madder.

“Are you sure?” she angrily asked.

“I am sure. If you want to, I am going to leave... but I am going to leave with Georgina, my wife.” he answered.

With that, he tasted Lady Vilma’s slapped. It was so hard, and he admitted it hurt but he doesn’t care as long as he fought for his wife.

“How dare you live with my granddaughter?! She belongs here and you don’t!” Lady Vilma shouted at him with her trembling voice and shaky hands.

Dion knew the feeling being answered politely but he just did his part as Georgina’s husband and that’s to be with her in sickness or in health, poorer or not. Dion slowly stared at her and sighed.

“You can’t buy me with your money, Lady Vilma. I know I am not supposed to be here but if not for me, your husband died that night. You should thank me but what do I expect? Your attitude was very different from Don Ben. I hope he was still here and you’re the one who died.” Dion firmly said.

Lady Vilma was shocked by what he said. Slowly, she touched her chest, and she was having a heart attack. Dion suddenly felt guilty and worried.

“Lady Vilma?!” he caught her before she faints.

With that, he shouted for some help and all the Beibers family entered with an angry expression toward him. He knew that they were all blaming him.

“You asshole! You’re going to pay if something bad happens at her.” Rio shouted at him.

Rio carried Lady Vilma and they hurriedly went to the hospital while Georgina rushed inside and saw him walking slowly.

“I’m sor-ry, I lost control and answered her.” he apologized.

Geogina just shook her head and hugged him tightly. Dion thought she was going to be mad at him, but he was merely wrong.

“It’s okay, it’s not your fault.” she whispered to him.

Dion was still worried because he knew they might kill him or what for putting Lady Vilma in that situation. He knew that they could accuse him of trying to kill her. Afterwards, while they were cleaning the areas outside, Rio with bunch of police officers arrived.

“Wait, what’s going on here?!” Meredith asked Rio.

Georgina hurriedly ran toward her husband.

“There he is! He was the one with her when she collapsed. I knew he tried to kill her.” Rio said while pointing at Dion.

Dion’s eyes grew bigger. He was right.

“What?! No! I didn’t try to kill her, Rio.” Dion defended himself.

Rio just shook his head, and the police officers went toward him and handcuffed his hands.

“What? No, no, please. Don’t take him away. He wouldn’t do such things like that.” Georgina stopped them from taking him away.

But her parents hold her.

“Dion!” she shouted at him.

Dion looked back and closed his eyes. He knew he was being set up by them because they wanted to get rid of him.

“I’ll be back.” Dion just whispered.

Georgina couldn’t stop crying as they left. Dion felt so sad and betrayed by them. He would never think they would accuse him of something like that just because they hated him.

“You have the right to remain silent, Mr. Brown...” one of the police said.

Dion just took a deep breath and sighed.

“Explain yourself at the station and if you have a lawyer, call him.” they told him.

Suddenly, he remembered about his grandfather. He’s the only way and person who could help him this time. Guess, he needs to take down his pride for this time.
