Chapter 3: System

In a room filled with toys. A 12-year-year-old girl was playing with her teddy bear. Just then, a cat strolled into the room through the window.

"Luzi, I have been looking for you. How the hell did you get drenched by the rain? Come over let me help you clean yourself dry. Daddy just told us not to touch the rain." As soon as the girl spot the cat she immediately said so with an innocent smile.

She never noticed the unusual red eye on the cat. The eyes were gleaming red with killing intent.

Staring intently at the girl, the cat moves forwards, towards her like a hunter stalking its prey.

That night was tend to be deathly for others as pets went berserk. Wild animals mutate and plants evolve into something else.

The police, military and other hidden forces were all over the world, busy under the rain trying to calm the wave of unrest. Armed robbers took the opportunity to do their evilness further worsening the situation.

Well, that was just the beginning as the worse is yet to come.

"John don't do anything stupid." Francis let out with a quaking accent as he stare at his friend, stained in blood. With a few flesh sticking out of his teeth.

With the dim light from the table's lamp. Francis could see the completely white eyeballs of John who was staggering towards him. Just like a zombie from apocalypse movies.

It all started when John collected some rainwater to bathe, despite the water being a bit black and the warning from TV emergency news he still uses it. After using it. He suddenly turns strange as he attacks and chews his girlfriend to half-death and now here he is stumbling towards Francis.

Grrrrrr

With a low growl, John pounce on the frightened Francis, his teeth sunk deep into Francis's neck tearing off a chunk of flesh and letting blood gush out like a broken tap water.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaargggh."

The scream of Fransic resounded throughout the dormitory.

Similar scenes were happening all over the school, market and other places. It didn't take more than 3 hours for it to completely engulf the whole of America, China and so on.

Apocalypse, a term we know in our fantasy or imagination is now live. With a single bite from an undead, the victim will be corrupted too.

On this day, Earth experiences a vast transformation in its civilization, Climax and so on.

Undeads roam half the places.

At first, the polices using pistols were able to eliminate the zombie but as time goes by they discovered one horrifying truth.

The zombies were able to evolve into high-level creatures. Their skins were not penetrated by bullets easily. Different tests were performed on their weakness and during that time mutates with super strengths, speeds and so on appear too.

Precisely when humanities thought it was the end for them. Something happened, something that will mark a new era for them.

"Move the citizens to the supermarket bunker. The foods there will be able to last us for at least 3 days." A middle-aged man dressed in a torn-out military shirt stained with blood ordered.

Leading a group of 45 groups of people with 4 militaries protecting the rear and side place of the citizens.

He was leading the people into an underground building located inside a supermarket. Just then, a zombie dashed out of nowhere and attacked the man who just give an order.

The man was caught unexpectedly but reacted instinctively as a military man. With a jackknife, he do the clumsy zombie and tackles it down. Then with a swift movement he stabbed it with a knife right into the skull. Ending its live.

Just then, a strange thing happened.

He turns towards his comrades and said, "Guys, use your knives and kill those clumsy zombies and experience the wonder I just did. Trust me, you will never regret it. This will help you be at the forefront of a powerhouse in the future."

Despite being confused, the military people who were already used to obeying commands without questioning immediately kill the zombies around them with knives.

Squeals and shrieks of the people could be heard fill with surprises.

Alex with a knowing smile calmly explains to them.

Unknown to them, in few places, similar scenes were happening.

The body of the 18 years old lad who just went through hell last night could be seen laying on a hospital bed inside the lab. Dressed in a patient's clothing. His skin has undergone some changes, from being tan to being milky white.

After undergoing different sort of test in the lab, Noah could no longer be referred to as human cause his body now works differently from before.

With little to nothing inside the room. Just then, the he opens his eyes. A dim purple iris has replaced the previous dark one which he has for some unknown reasons.

The eyes were like a curtain which blankets hidden paradoxes from the realm.
