It was supposed to be a morning like any other, in which Hye Nari would stay in her office and either check any hot posts in Hell Gate’s forum or watch yesterday’s news on her TV.
As she was enjoying a hot cup of coffee and some delicious snacks, the manager and owner of this building was interrupted by an unexpected knock.
She was certain that it wasn’t one of her employees because she had already warned them never to interrupt her morning leisure time. This meant that it was an unwanted and unexpected visitor, as for who it was, she would soon figure out.
Nari swiftly cleaned the desk then calmly spoke.
“Come in.”
“You exceeded my expectations.” Zeno Ver Kantika was relaxing in an open veranda under the moonlight. He was accompanied by Xavier, his servant, and was currently sitting across Leiu. “I knew you would dispose of the assassin but to think you’d do it so cleanly and without arising any suspicion.” “...” Leiu was silently staring at the handsome counselor, who, despite the hot weather, was wearing thin black gloves and an outfit unfit for the summer season. “The Bloody Head Brotherhood will come after you, just so you know.” In response to this declaration, the Dark Knight nonchalantly sh
Leiu grunted at Zeno's response and quickened his steps, but that wasn’t enough to get rid of the clingy counselor. “Remember to behave elegantly lest you ruin both of our reputations.” “I don’t have a reputation to ruin.” “In those clothes, you do. You are a noble from the Southern Countries, but I doubt our common enemies will go out of their way to investigate you.” Leiu, still scrutinizing the guests and enjoying the atmosphere, shrugged his shoulders and retorted. “It could also be the opposite. As the head of the anti-royal factions, I reckon they’d want to know who I am.” “You sa
As she laid on the ground, Elizabeth was too dumbstruck to do anything. She stared at the starry-sky, trying to comprehend and process what had just happened. She wanted to threaten him using force but, before she could react, she was overpowered so easily. What was ridiculous was that she didn’t even see what he did! And as a prideful knight and a princess, it really infuriated her.Although Leiu refused to talk to her or admit that he was indeed the Nameless Knight, Elizabeth was still certain that it was him. Not only did Fairti describe his friend’s appearance to her, but he also talked about his gloomy attitude, never-changing expression, and his unique black hair and black eyes, which were pretty uncommon in this world.Even if Fairti had not provided
“The economy in the Southern Countries is on the rise. On behalf of our treasured empire, I thank you for coming and trading with us.”Frederic, while sitting, performed a short bow and smiled at Leiu, who just nodded. By now, it has become kind of obvious that the Crown Prince was probing around, and though he had enough men to do the investigation for him, he wanted to do it himself, strangely enough. His interest in Leiu peaked when Elizabeth dragged him away and went as far as sitting next to him. Although his relationship with his half-sister wasn’t particularly good, considering their circumstances and ambitions, Frederic still understood Elizabeth’s character. She wouldn’t act so brazenly in front of a complete stranger, which meant, at least for Frederic, that the two knew each other prior to the
Leiu contemplated his choices as he followed the thief, who was trying his best to find him. Meanwhile, the second pursuer was a distance away, aware that Leiu discovered the thief.Eventually, Leiu decided to make a move, albeit the possible consequences it could bring. After all, he sensed the two of them because of his sharpened senses at night. They could have been following in at the day too, and if it was the case, that would be problematic. He needed to resolve this matter before they discover something they ought not to. Of course, his relationship with Zeno would sooner or later get noticed, but there were other things better left hidden. For example, his ability to instantly teleport to his manor. The thin and lengthy silver chains wrapped around his left arm were

“So you hit him with the Lunar Poison?”A man with an over-sized lab coat and dusty spectacles was sitting on a rocking chair and reading a thick book, half of his attention was focused on a golden-haired knight kneeling a couple of meters away.Bran Terrest silently nodded his head once, his eyes looking at the ground.“I hope you did not do it out of spite due to his involvement in the girl’s untimely death.”The man threw the book on the ground and stood up, walking to a large window and gazing at the luminous capital.“Even though you obtained his memories, it doesn’t make you him. It would be troublesome
