Leiu’s eventful night had ended relatively fast. Unfortunately, he did not achieve his goal, though he was pleased after cutting that man’s left arm. He still had a decent amount of skills he had yet to use, and that’s while excluding [Milkan’s Savagery].
Instead of leaving the area, Leiu teleported back to the Eternal Abyss Manor, in which Seo Ae-Ri and Fairti were waiting.
The dandy-youth was sitting on the couch, his legs crossed and his attention wholly focused on the female assassin.
Seo Ae-Ri was sitting a distance away, looking impatient and annoyed. Upon the Dark Knight’s return, she jumped to her feet and gave him a long and intense stare.
“So, how did it go?”
The place was quiet and beautiful, usually devoid of any unwelcome visitors. Today was different, however, as Leiu and his two companions just arrived near a big crystal clear lake at the foot of a small but breath-taking waterfall.Grass and all sorts of colorful flowers grew on the edges of the upper and lower edges of the waterfall, as well as around the circular lake.At the left side of the lake, there was an open grassy area, a suitable place for a picnic or camping. There, at the center, Emperor sat on the ground and silently looked at the sky while humming. When he heard the approaching footsteps of the Dark Knight, he stood up and beamed.“You kept your promise! I’m relieved.”
In terms of speed, Emperor was slower than Leiu but a margin, but his attacks were precise and his overwhelming Strength was enough to counter the Dark Knight’s rapid attacks. As [Spiral Fog] missed its target, Leiu used [Supremacy Slash] and smashed his weapon on the ground. In retaliation, Emperor raised his longsword in the air and swung vertically, unleashing a translucent azure dragon.Surprisingly, the two skills clashed against each other and Leiu ended up getting blown a couple of meters to the back. The half*illusory dragon went through him, dealing a measly 70 points of damage but decreasing his movement speed by a whopping 80% for five seconds.Emperor made great use of those five seconds, his figure rushing at Leiu again, the longsword moving so fast and sh
Volume 4 : The Misery of the World Act 1 : the Simmering Darkness Vins, Frozen Torch, and Eun Myung(player name ‘Acycle), had finally reached the boss room at the very end of the treacherous ruins. It took them ten whole days to finally reach this point; They went to great lengths to assure their survival and all the bosses in the way. The rewarded experience was pitiful, and the gear dropped was not the best, however, they got priceless enhancement accessories and gems, which could later empower their gear and stats by a staggering amount. Despite the differences in their characters and way of doing things, the three players joined hands in defeating up to nine bosses. Each boss was over Lv150 and all were exception
“I’m not following you, Fairti.”The dandy young noble sighed in exasperation while giving his friend a fleeting glance of mockery and contempt.“You can’t continue using it without understanding its capabilities and consequences. You need to know how it functions and how you can make great use out of it. Simply relying on an untimely death is idiotic, to say the least.”“Now you’re just mocking me.”“Did you just figure that out? God, what would you do without me?”Leiu snorted and resumed eating, but not for long as Fairti continued talking about the skill.
Despite facing three opponents at once, Leiu came out victorious. He overpowered the archer, blocked the projectiles, and even had the time to use [Ease of Darkness]. The black mist did a wonderful job at incapacitating the three.Meanwhile, Seo Ae-Ri, even with her Stealth Skill, struggled for a bit. She didn’t focus too much on playing Hell Gate, so her level was relatively low. Her gear wasn’t exceptional either, nevertheless, she did manage to hold her own for a while, at least until her companion was done.Surprisingly, before the the Dark Knight could deal the finishing blow, one of the assailants, who was a tall man with long black rabbit ears, raised his hands in surrender and shouted atop his lungs“We surrender! Stop!”
After a brief conversation with Fairti to clarify his intentions, Leiu and his companions proceeded to follow the group of beastmen from the Lunar Clan. While it is true that Leiu agreed to be guided through the wasteland of Ferywonia, he still didn’t trust the Lunarian and was constantly on guard. The guides, on the other hand, behaved in a docile and amicable manner. The two groups started on the wrong foot and the leader of the beastmen spared no efforts to display his intention to repay the debt. Apparently, his name was Runar, the son of the clan’s chieftain and one of their mightiest warriors. “Each day, if there are no storms, we are responsible to scavenge any resources and hunt the beasts for their carcaces and meat.” Runar happily explained a couple of things about his ‘job’ and did not ignore any of Fairti’s questions. Meanwhile, the Dark Knight was walking a couple of paces ahead, Seo Ae-Ri right next to him, constantly throwing fleeting gazes at the other rabbit men
“I really can’t get used to how creepy this place is! Ugh!”Inside the Eternal Abyss Manor, which was currently vacant, a man in a funny two-colored jester-like costume was walking around and rubbing his arms to get rid of the unpleasant chills. He continuously complained while sneaking glances at his two companions. The two were walking together; One was a relatively tall man with short black hair, a warm expression and uniquely and differently-colored eyes. The other was a woman shorter than him, she had long silver hair that glistened amidst the darkness of the manor. She had two crimson eyes and was wearing a one-piece jet black dress that added more to her exceptional beauty.Contrary to her husband, however, the woman had a chillingly cold face and an almost never-changing expre
“This place is grim…”Seo Ae-Ri stuck close to her companions and could not help remark. Despite Runar’s attempt to be a welcome host, the Lunar Clan’s camp was dominated by a gloom atmosphere, filled with desperation. Most tribe members were lurking in their homes or in the shadows, their eyes hollow and devoid of will; It was clear they had given up on making their lives better. It was not to say there were no lively ones, the children, especially. However, their fleeting joy was only thanks to their innocent ignorance and the inability to comprehend the misery that lies outside the camp’s walls.“Yes, I can’t help but agree.”Fairti studied the Lunar clan for
