"[Ziiiee....!!!]"

The monster released a loud shriek from the huge hole below where the crystalized girl is, as it disappeared leaving a few dust from the ceiling.

Soon after that, it reappeared in the air with it's claw ready to attack them.

Thankfully, they've managed to dodge this because of Leo when he used his mirror crest to open up a mirror portal that teleported them onto another mirror that appeared within the distance.

*Claaak-!!*

With a loud crashing sound between a metal and a rock, the attack released a tremor that shook the whole place.

*Bang!*

For a split seconds, it released an strong invisible shockwaves that eventually made their bodies crash into a wall with great speed, and was strong enough to make huge cracks and crater.

*-Screech!*

Then, after their bodies fell onto the ground, Arthur didn't waste anytime as he got up as he began to spill out lots of blood from his mouth.

Looking at his current figure, because he was the one to catch the bodies of his teammates t

[Umm... Arthur?]While Arthur continued to stare at the screen in front of him, the system that was currently up in the air, suddenly spoke making his attention divert back to it."Yes?" Asked Arthur as he clicked on the [X] button to close the Status Screen. He felt that the system wanted to say something, but was worried that he might get angry by her question. So, after pondering for a few seconds, he decided to ask if something was wrong."System, is there something wrong?" Arthur smiled gently. Because of this, it made the system go down in the air until it was right in front of him.[Why are you so desperate on trying to save him... To save Athan...?]Although the system had been with him for God knows how long, it never asked something personal up until now. It was because the system had respected his privacy, and never wanted him to remember something in the past before she met him... And was scared that he will go back to the way he used to be.When Arthur heard the System's

When I woked up, the first thing I saw in the corner of my sight was a black haired girl that had two horns on the side of her forehead, sleeping while holding my blanket.I was about to say something when the girl suddenly opened her eyes and sat up."Huum...." She let out a cute humming sound as she rubbed her eyes before stretching out her arm.It looks like she hadn't noticed me yet... Because of this, I closed my eyes to pretend that I'm still sleeping. After she was done stretching, the girl turned her attention towards me and poked my chest with her little fingers with a pout."Hey... Wake up already." The girl continued poking me on the chest, then arm, then up on my leg. This continued on until she went and decide to poke my cheeks that made me open my eyes and shove her hands off in annoyance."!!?""Stop that, will you?" Athena started fidgeting her fingers as if she was trying hard to think of something that could shift my question to a question that was not related on my question.Sighing, I waved her off to attract her attention back to me. After Arthur left both of us alone, Athena once again continued with her long sermon. This lasted a few hours, until..."As I was saying," Athena crossed her arms. "It was because of you working together with your brother that she managed to graduate college. Also, it was thanks to your recommendations, her talents got recognized by government and was later placed to the same research team you are in before you retired. If it wasn't for your help, her life wouldn't be the same as the one she had in our previous life." She took a long breather before she continued, "She felt indebted to you after seeing you do those things. Even though you weren't blood related, and even though you could have choose to escape those responsibilities, you didn't but instead chose to help them. Because of this, slowly, that girl fell in love with you." Finally finished from saying everything she wanted to say, Athena slowly lifted her head to look at me straight in the eyes to see what's my expression.B

    Just A "Very" Calming Day

Entering the apartment building, I was immediately greeted by Miss Olivia, her warm demeanor a stark contrast to the unsettling events of the day.Earlier, I had borrowed Aerial's phone to make a call, seeking refuge in their home. Jack, the owner of the apartment, agreed almost immediately upon hearing my situation.Aerial's surprise was palpable when she learned that I was practically homeless after running away from home. By the time I hung up and said my thanks, she immediately asked about what happened.Since I have nothing to lose anyway, I decided to tell her the truth.... Not the regression part, of course. Her reactions were somehow expected; she sympathize with me, and thus, diverted the topic back to our work.Anyways—"Vallen is finally here," Olivia informed Jack, who nonchalantly continued watching a horror movie, the flickering images casting an eerie glow across the room."You're here already?" he said, h

"....""...."Tapping my index finger on the table, my eyes shifted between Aerial and the mysterious numbers sprawled across the paper she was holding. How in the world could she decipher this cryptic language?"....Mmm." I closed my eyes, pondering. Glancing my way, she closed her eyes and inquired, "...what do you want?""....!!"Clearing my throat, I put on a smile and replied, "Ah... Well, I want to join this club." She abruptly halted, processing my unexpected announcement.Turning her head slightly, she contemplated before asking, "Why do you want to join?" Strangely, Kiyona appeared to buy into it....Is she an idiot?"Pfft!" Kim couldn't contain a sound, swiftly covering his mouth. Kim sat on the left, and I occupied the right."There are so many people here!" Kiyona exclaimed, rising suddenly and letting out a loud "woo hoo!" This drew surprised glances from the students in front of us."Stop it... She's a bit eccentric, to say the least."Well, I can see that... I thought, glancing up at Kiyona, who was smiling wholeheartedly. Despite her eccentricities, there was something likable about her that I couldn't quite pinpoint."Hey, Kim! The principal is making her appearance!" As soon as I woke up back inside my room on the mansion, confusion engulfed me as I checked the calendar that was on the shelf before checking through my phone.'First Day of School!'It was the same.Panic gripped me; this regression wasn't exactly as I anticipated. Cursing my predicament, I held my head in frustration. "Why had I been thrust back to the beginning?" There were no answers, and the disorienting return only fueled my anxiety.Contemplating various possibilities, I considered the absurd idea of being poisoned. However, logic swiftly dismissed it – Miss Olivia, who shared the meal, wouldn't endanger herself nor her boyfriend. She wasn't that reckless or suicidal.Desperation led my mind to entertain wild theories. Had my father sent assassins? A notion swiftly dismissed, recognizing the improbability... Although there is still a possibility, I knew his personality. The mind raced, concocting and discarding scenarios, each more implausible than the last.Tok Tok—!The ca
