Chapter 8: Your already dead

It was already 6 pm by the time they were done, now Gu LinFang was speeding through the streets of Iron crow City with Gu Linju in his arms, he didn't see too many people moving around like he had during the day except for certain areas of the commercial district and the red district.

He continues to use his movement skills at every chance he had, the Experience bar for the skill kept increasing but he found it rather slow compared to just pumping exp into it with a click of a button.

But all in all, He had mostly began getting used to his life as a cultivator.

"They said they would deliver everything tomorrow morning, obviously Chang ye just wanted to use the chance to know our place... luckily Though Master Fu gave me complete spirit stones secretly, so technically I bought the slaves for free...what do you think of today?" As he chatted with Gu Linju, the day was getting darker by the minute.

And He could even hear some random chatter from time to time in the background, everything made him question if this was really a game.

Noticing his good mood, Gu Linju decided to ask him about what was bothering her, "Father, did you see Gu LiCheng?...he was amongst the slaves you had chosen".

Surprised, He looked at her curious face for a second before choosing to stay silent.

"Looks like our clan members are really having a hard time, did you see anyone else?" He then asked.

"Ok we'll see Li Cheng tomorrow then..."

Although, he felt this world was really beautiful, and he would always feel bothered about being insignificant, He would think things like, 'If I died now, would anyone notice?'

Perhaps that has always been what really bothered him or...

As he was moving through the streets leaving only what would look like a strange blur to a normal human, he noticed something not too far from the mansion. He squinted with his eyes and saw two people dressed in dirty gray robes peeking and pointing at the mansion as they engaged in heavy conversation. He took ju'er closer and heard, ,"Your sure there's a beauty in that house? And there's only one middle aged man with her, without cultivation?"

"Yes, I and second saw him earlier today...he didn't have any cultivation, probably her relative acting as an escort".

"Good, I can beat him up and handle the beauty who's just 9th level of the Qi gathering realm"

Gu Fang looked at this two from behind, the So called Boss was a foundation established expert while the latter was just a 5th level Qi gathering realm pleb and he couldn't decide whether he should be laughing or crying.

"The carriage driver that placed his cousin in debt, that one from the fallen Luo family!"

"Hmph, how much is he expecting?"

"THAT'S!!...20? Fair enough, that strange... he's usually very greedy, how come he's asking for so little now?"the Boss suddenly became skeptical about the job immediately.

"I don't know" his partner shrugged.

"I suddenly feel wary, I'll go bring the others... you watch the house..."

Hearing what they said, He decided it would be better to let them bring more people, that way he'll gain more benefits.

The Boss left in a hurry while the other one remained to observe the house.

Gu LinFang shared a look with ju'er any flew into the air.

"you will walk into the house and wait for the attack...Fight like your life depends on it but don't worry, I'll be around if you can't win", these were the words he told Gu Linju before dropping her off at an alley not far from the house.

He then decided to watch from a roof on the other side of the road. He was wondering why these people were so confident with the guards on the inner wall, after all his house wasn't far from there.

Gu Linju was then spotted walking towards the house at a slow pace while making sure the man hiding could see her.

'hehe I can smell something fishy in this city... it is the kind of environment I love best!' He thought silently while looking at things play out in front of him.

Twenty one minutes after Gu Linju entered the house, the Boss had returned with four extra little soldiers in the Qi gathering realm.

Without wasting time, they met up with the look out, after getting an idea of the situation, they jumped over the fence in a practiced manner.

They knocked down the front door, and ran in.

Gu Lin Fang leisurely flew to his house and stood close to the door and watched. He already decided he would use this people to test combat, each martial arts technique had a set number of skills or movement within them that makes them a complete technique, Just like how a person's grade, Talent, stats and bloodline decided the number of techniques you could learn in a lifetime.

For example, <Bloodthirsty Bull's finger> was only a Green skill with four skills in total unlike the legendary <crooked war finger> in his possession with a total of 9 skills! Or <Banshee's footprint> with only a total of just two skills within.

<Bloodthirsty Bull's finger> consisted of a parry, that boosts the defense of your arms and the chances of blocking successfully with little to no damages taken for a few seconds before going into a short cool down of 10 seconds. In essence, it shows an average person the way to channel your qi to get the desired effects.

For the natives of this world, it would take months, if not years to master without someone guiding you.

And then, There were two claw attack skills in this technique with one even holding a bleed effect, the last skill in the technique fall under the category of rage skills...takes a while to channel the Qi and a certain frame of mind to perform

All these made Gu Lin Fang understand one thing, he needed to get used to combat as soon as possible, if he really wants to do anything in this life. He just needs to be cautious enough to preserve his little life.

"Die!!" Gu Lin ju's voice came from inside the house as she charged at the robbers or kidnappers wildly, using her Umbrella as a club.

'Tsk Tsk tsk, why don't you hide and perform a sneak attack or something , This is ridiculous' Gu Lin fang muttered to himself.

In a way, Gu Lin ju couldn't be blamed, she's a young woman, who's been always arrogant and taken care of, so you could say she lacks experience.

"Hehehe little girl, it's better to just come with us..." One of the idiots says but the Boss quickly smacked his head from behind,

"what nonsense, we are taking the house too!".

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Boss is right!" They sang along in a way that shows they have been doing so for a long time.

"But Boss, what if the Old man came back?" One asked again.

Boss answered dismissively, "Kill him".

"Boss is wise" they bowed again.

At this moment when they were bowing, the sneering Gu Lin ju finally became smart and launched a sneak attack using an unknown boxing technique to punch out.

The poor fourth level Qi gathering realm toy soldier was sent flying, seriously injured.

She didn't stop there as she charge at the next person, swinging her umbrella with a bit of force.

While he was thinking, the fight went on.

They all charged at her with There respective fists, only their boss seemed to have a technique, but it was in the same white grade as Gu Lin ju with only two skills that were visible, the rest was just them throwing fists and kicks randomly whilst dodging.

Two minutes later, She began to feel overwhelmed as she ran up the stairs breathlessly and began to fight back again. This made Gu Lin fang nod again, promising to teach her, so she doesn't embarrass him.

"She knows how to use environments to her advantage but...why isn't she killing them, don't tell me...", Feeling it was about time he showed up, he walked into the house with a frown, pretending not to notice the panic that was slowly appearing on her face. The girl managed to knock two out of the six, making the rest even more ferocious...eventually they managed to pin her to the ground and began kicking.

"By the time I'm done with you today, I'll make sure to send you to the brothel to vent this anger for my brothers ah!" The Boss screams in frustration as he hasn't been able to get a good hit or even make the girl bleed.

Gu Lin ju covers her head and squeezed into a ball, she kept laughing and saying, "Shameless, can't even beat me alone... just you wait, your dead."

This angered the Boss further, making him pull out a small knife.

"Indeed, I want to see how you will deal with my daughter today" Gu Lin Fang's voice came from behind them.

"Father!" The relieved Gu Lin Ju called out excitedly.

The men were shocked and Gu Lin Fang used the chance to perform the claw technique with bleed effect on the Boss's neck. He tore off some flesh in process as blood sprayed everywhere.

"After all, your already dead".

"!!!!"

From the moment he spoke till his last sentence, it was just less than 6 seconds!. Seeing their dying Boss, the remaining three tried to run but the devilish middle aged man was standing on the only way out of the house.

Stuck in a dilemma, they decided to charge forward together, should anyone manage to by pass the man...

"It's useless" Gu Lin Fang passed between them with <Banshee's footprint> while using another claw skill with a few other punches.

They all dropped dead the next second, returning peace to the mansion but Gu Lin fang pointed at the two unconscious men and said in a low but threatening voice, "Gu Lin Ju!, can you tell me the meaning of this?".

Gu Lin ju, whom had been watching all the previous scene with sparkling eyes was suddenly jolted awake, "What do you mean, Father?"

"Why didn't you kill them when you had the chance, you have the weapon in your hands, you chose to use fists, you try to knock them out instead of killing them off? Do you not remember your mother's words?, Showing mercy to the enemy is being cruel to yourself"

At the end of his words he asked again, "Do you not know this?"

"I...I...I"

"Enough, kill him now"

"..." Silently, She unsheathes her sword and took a few deep breath with a determined expression.

Slash!!!

Her hands shook and Gu Lin Fang noticed this detail before saying softly, "This is how the world works Ju'er, it's either you are taken down and killed or you are doing the same to others...either way, it's a dog eat dog world.

"..." silence filled the atmosphere as Gu Lin Fang looked at the Girl who was still in a daze and finally decided to add, "Go, clean yourself up and go to bed... you have a shoe print on your face for crying out loud".

She forced a smile before simply nodding at Gu Lin fang's words before leaving, this made Gu Lin Fang so speechless that he couldn't help but grumble, "who was it that was arrogant a few minutes ago?".

Once she left, Gu Lin Fang began to recollect the sensation of using those skills earlier. Then he looked at the different corpses sprawled all over the house and decided to move them to the basement, where he decided he was going to try practice the zombie refinement technique.
