The sun had already reached its highest point in the sky, and its rays were heating up everything that lay in its path. People from all over the town swarmed into the shed as quickly as they could in an effort to get away from the intense heat caused by the sun's incredible strike. In the infamous and remote town of Biringan, it had been like this every summer for as long as anyone could remember. It was closely the same for everyone whenever they go out to run for errands or simply work on their personal businesses, that was except for Freida Salome. She enjoys the feeling of the sun's rays penetrating the coverings of her flesh, the heat that coursed through her skin, and the fact that her skin had become accustomed to the heat as a result of the fact that she was born and raised on the farm by her grandmother, who is the only remaining member of her family. The terrible landslide that occurred in the mountains of Biringan was the only thing she could remember about her parents. Whe
Boran and Freida were able to complete the final signature that was required before they could bind the thesis project that they have been working on for the past couple of weeks with relatively little effort and in a relatively short amount of time. The fact that everything was finally resolved brought them both a significant amount of relief.“So, which coffee shop would you prefer to celebrate this accomplishment, Freida?” Boran's words were abrupt and came as soon as they exited from the research office.Freida had been looking forward to this time for quite some time, and as a result, she had been diligently putting money aside and making plans for where she would go in the event that she was successful in persuading Boran to accompany her. “Well, there was this—” But just as she was about to begin speaking, someone called out her name, which cut her off mid-sentence.“Freida, do you have a moment?” Freida was able to identify the voice as belonging to a male voice she knew alm
Freida did not in the slightest expect to come across such a moment in which a person who was completely blind would be the one who would eventually save her from being involved in an accident that could have caused her harm. If it weren't for the blind man, she would have been hurt badly by now, and in the worst-case scenario, she might have even been dead if the impact had been severe enough.Freida was suddenly overcome with an overwhelming desire to find out if the man was, in fact, blind. Because of this, she moved closer to him and waved the free hand she had available in front of his face. It was confirmed that the man was indeed blind after she had repeated it twice more.“Hey, are you still there?” Freida was abruptly interrupted by the blind man.“Uh, err, yes.” She was on the verge of being distracted by the thought that the man might have seen what she was doing. Even though the blind man was unable to see her, Freida quickly regained her composure in front of him.“I beli
Freida had a sudden recollection of the fact that the last time she could recall, she was still in the city of Itum—which was a city that was located approximately half an hour away from the town of Biringan. She had a distinct recollection of passing out right there on the streets, so the fact that she was now lying in her bed was a mystery to her. She couldn't understand how she had gotten here.Yet, regardless of how hard she tried to think carefully about how it occurred, she was unable to come up with any possible reason as to how she had been transported inside their house. She just couldn't figure out how she got there. The only result of her moment of reflection was an abrupt growl emanating from her stomach. She had the urge to go downstairs and start preparing the meal, but it felt as though her entire body was holding her back. The scent of food that was being prepared in kitchen was what jolted her out of her bed the next moment and forced her to get up and move around.Fr
She felt shivers run up and down her entire body, which instantaneously caused her to stand still out of shock and terror. Even the thought of screaming for assistance was too difficult for her to do. Considering the circumstances, she is experiencing an overwhelming sense of helplessness right now.Meanwhile, the blind man is continuing to laugh in an extremely disturbing manner. And Freida's nervousness and horror are triggered by the situation, which causes her to lose her sanity over it, which is a scene that Freida finds particularly upsetting. She tried to push through it by forcing herself to move, but sadly, as soon as she did, the creature that was impersonating her grandmother expanded its hands like rubber bands and ensnared her by twirling its elastic hands around her waist. She was unable to maintain her resistance against such a strong hold on her lower body, and the next thing she knew, she was already being pulled back to where she had come from.Freida made an effor
Boran immediately assisted Freida and took her to a nearby café, which was not that far away given that the city of Itum appears to have a lot of them around.Frieda continued to have difficulty looking either of them in the eye once they were inside the coffee shop. She continued to feel embarrassed about how she had thought about their relationship with one another. Even though Boran and Louisa were totally unaware of the unsettling behavior that Freida had been displaying toward them, it continues to worry them that she might still be in some sort of shock about what might have happened to her back in the streets. Boran was unable to maintain his silence for much longer once he realized that Freida had not uttered a single word to them since the moment, they entered the coffee shop. He eventually took the initiative to speak with Freida, but whatever he was going to say was abruptly cut off by a breaking news story that was broadcast on the LED Screen television that was hanging o
Freida’s sleeve began to tremble as the cold crept up her body. She was unable to believe that this was actually happening. She briefly attempted to pinch some skin to see if she was simply having another nightmare, but sure enough, the pinch hurt her. This can only be taken to mean that she wasn't actually having a nightmare. That the monster threateningly posing in front of her was actually planning to attack her once more. Even though Freida was experiencing a great deal of fear, she knew that she had to devise a strategy in order to keep her grandmother safe from the monster. So, she took her grandmother's wooden baston and used it to attack the monster. At first, the monster was brazening enough that it did not display any fear when confronted by Freida's weapon. It tried to hiss its long dark tongue in front of Freida, making it appear as though it was some kind of poisonous king cobra that was just waiting for the right moment to pounce on its prey. It was indeed a vicious cre
Unbeknownst to the monster, Freida had already managed to retrieve her grandmothers' baston. She was quick enough to thrust the other end of the baston at the center of the monster's forehead at almost the exact moment the monster turned around to attack Freida. As her attempt succeeded in penetrating its head, Freida's jaw dropped. She rammed the baston even further into its head by putting more pressure on it. The impact of the thrust was so strong that its flesh made a cracking sound. When Freida pulled it out, an odd bead flew out from the wound she had caused. It was so quick that Freida wasn't able to anticipate it dropping inside her mouth, which is how she accidentally swallowed the bead. The bead gave off a sour and bitter taste inside her mouth, to the point where she could feel the back of her throat getting a bit sore as it moved through her mouth. As Freida watched the monster fall to the ground, she couldn't help but hack up a lung, and it seemed like it would never st
