It had been weeks since Giovanni last saw Serafina. After their very brief encounter at the club, her passing by him and him acting like he didn't see her, it had been the last he had seen of her. Well, he had been able to survive because Geraldo kept giving him updates and even had to stop at one point because he was starting to hyperfixate on her. Her jobs for the past few weeks had been excellent and she had gone higher in rank according to the board of directors and scorers of the organization. In two weeks, she was topping the last five of the best ten of the organization and now, she was two people away from meeting Daneesha who had been at the top for almost a year. Tonight, she was going for one of the biggest operations to ever happen in RYSWELL and everyone was counting on her to do a good job and come out alive. She had been given the details of what to do and now, all they were all waiting for was good news tomorrow morning. "Don't tell me you're thi
Serafina's eyes flew open and she sat up immediately, her breath heavy and sweat trickling down her body. She immediately turned on her lights, not remembering how it got turned off in the first place. Climbing out of the bed, she walked into the bathroom and took her clothes off, right after she played soft music in the background to calm her nerves. The nightmares were becoming more frequent with each passing day and she woke up every night at three, either in tears or feeling a wave of crippling fear wash over her. Tonight, it was accompanied with unease and irritation. Once again, she had seen her mother's body in a pool of blood, only this time, she wasn't on the floor but hanging in front of their front door's lintel, her body flailing with the wind as blood trickled down her body. She stood in the middle of the bathroom, her eyes closed as water washed down her body before leaning against the wall and shaking with tears. After her operation tonight,
"What are going to do about him?" Giovanni shrugged. He was mostly absent minded for the whole of today. "I don't know. If he wants to be a part of us, then he should be put to the test." "We never put members of the organization to test unless they are workers." "Yes, we don't. But do you fully trust him? What if he's been sent to spy on us?" Geraldo smiled. "I think you're being paranoid. No one knows that we operate and you know that, right?" "Of course," Giovanni replied and rubbed his hand over his face. "But that doesn't mean he should be trusted. He worked for the CIA, remember? He's still connected to the federal government in a way and you know that." "You're right. So what are we going to do now? How do we know that he isn't a part of the CIA anymore or not working under anyone at all?" Giovanni sat up in his chair. "We are going to present it before the board members. I am sure someone will come up with a very good idea. What do you say?"
With a sunshade over her eyes, she slipped out of her car and donned her baseball hat low enough to hide her face from public eyes. She knew she wasn't being watched but she had a gut feeling that someone who might recognise her was going to see her hanging out with Drake. It wasn't like she wanted to do this but she had no option. None at all. Drake had asked them to meet at the café close to her estate and that had her wondering how he'd been able to tell where she lived. She was not afraid of him. Just worried that he was going to do something nasty and hell, she couldn't even tell this to Giovanni. He didn't have to know. The first time he called, she had stayed in bed all night, staring up at the ceiling. And now, she had no idea what was waiting for her. She saw him as soon as she stepped into the cafe. He was seated on the far end of the eastern part of the café, a steaming cup of coffee before him and as soon as he saw her, he wagged a finger towards her.
"What the fuck is this, Marcia!" He yelled at the top of his voice, right after he moved out of the way. Just one nano second of escape had saved his life. A bullet hole was left on the door as a memory of her irrational impulse. Her gun clattered to the floor and she sighed in relief. Giovanni hadn't been shot. He was fine. Not even a bruise or a graze. Her door had taken the hit. As he walked into the room, he looked around her room, taking in the mess she had made. Irregular shaped shards of glass lay littered on the floor and the strong smell of ale wafted into his nose. Her room was neatly arranged but the mess she made meant that something had gone wrong and when he looked up at her, he realised she was drunk to stupor. She looked like a mess. A very beautiful mess. Her hair was everywhere. In her face, her mouth, her dress and her fingers held onto a stick of cigarette. She was wearing a summer dress, one that accentuated her figure and made her skin sallow. Fuschia wasn
As his lips glided over hers, all she could see were the dead bodies she had dropped since she stepped foot into America. The man from the alleyway who had tried to attack her on her drunken night back home. She remembered grabbing a bottle of beer off the ground and crashing it on the side of his head, blood spilling from the side of his head before she drove the jagged edges into his jugulars, watching as he bled out on the ground to death. Or how she had to slit the throat of a man she had been sent on a mission to rob? He had tried overpowering her and taking her right in front of the clubbers and while they all laughed at the top of their voices, she had to squirm her way from underneath his body before snatching her purse and spraying her pepper spray into his eyes. And in his confused moments, the sound of her gunshot had rang out throughout the club, causing the music to end abruptly as people screamed and exited the club in deep frenzy. She watched him bleed out, pressing h
Chaos. That was who she was. Giovanni could see a fragment of her soul. She bared a tiny part of her to him and he didn't know how to deal with that part. She was intensely overwhelming, rocking him off his feet and nearly throwing him to the ground. He peppered kisses down her now naked body. Her palms flattened against his now shirtless body and she traced the crevices of his skin, taking in his perfectly sculpted muscles. His body looked like it had been carved on mountain Olympus by Zeus and thrown down to earth in the likeness of a human. Serafina leaned up towards him, staring with droopy eyes as she watched him kiss her, his hair softly caressing her skin. His back spanned across her body. She pressed her hand into his back, rubbing softly around the large expanse of him until they stopped on the small of his back where his back narrowed into his beautiful waistline. She fell back into the bed with the image of his broad back in her head. He was beautiful. So beautiful. A
Life was good, right in this moment. Giovanni had a beautiful woman in his arm, not just any beautiful woman. The woman he'd always wanted for a long time. Her long, smooth, toned leg was thrown over his, her breathing smooth as she slept on. They had sex. Good sex. Mind blowing sex. One he hadn't wanted to end. He should have listened to Geraldo and stayed away from her but now, he was pretty much unable to resist her. Whatever the consequences were, be damned. He didn't want to leave this bed. It was almost midnight and he had a meeting to attend with his most important members but he remained here, put his phone on silent and hoped a few callers didn't override his do not disturb mode. He continued to stroke her hair as he stared up at the ceiling with a smile on his face. She moved slightly in his arms, moaning softly as she turned over in his arms so her bare buttocks pushed at him. He groaned softly, taking in her glorious, voluptuous sight. He couldn't resist h
