Quitting

I woke up once again, and I looked around me.

I grasped my stomach in shock, and was relieved to see that there was no wound there.

I slouched on my chair to collect my thoughts.

‘This is starting to become an issue, how on earth did i get killed again,’ I thought to myself.

Previously I thought that my stepmother hired that one guy to take me out, but it seemed that wasn’t the case now.

There was someone else, and he was the one who shot me.

“Now that I think about it, there could be a lot of people involved in this that I don’t know about,’ I thought.

Once again, I realized now that I’d been underestimating my stepmother.

She could have had eyes on me right then and there, and soon everyone became a suspect.

‘Wait a minute, the quest log said to survive 24 hours did it not, what if I just avoided the bar entirely, and went somewhere else, and stayed off the grid,’ I thought to myself.

It was certainly a possibility, and I stood up from my chair and scanned the room.
