Chapter 23

"Who's coming?" Claire came forward to follow Jack. She held her head. "Damn Bastard! What else would she come here for?! Well, I’ll handle this and please just stay here. Let me kick her out."

"Claire." Jack scratched his itchy head as Claire ignored his call and walked to the front of the shop. He briefly stunned to think whether it was better to come forward or let his friend take care of the problem.

"You can't come in. Can't you see that the shop isn't open yet?" Claire's voice was faintly heard.

A breath escaped Jack's mouth. 'Let it be, I'd better go to the kitchen before a war breaks out.'

He made a wise decision. There was no point in him coming out now. Instead, he would only be the referee later.

As Jack walked back, a woman's voice began to reply to Claire's words in the courtyard of the shop.
