The Dragon Foundation

"Hah." Sitting on a cushioned sofa, I let out a long sigh—a decent soft one.

I was waiting for my dad inside a guest room at the dragon foundation. It just so happened that the room matched my personal room. I was thus basically in my preferred location in the room. That was, in front of the window in order to reach the magnificence of this world. Which was plainly a lie. I wanted to kill some time, and I wondered if anything strange might occur here. Such as terrorist assaults. Oh, no, not that one. I may be in a dangerous scenario. a monster ravaging, perhaps. No, that would endanger me as well. In the end, it was best to take a few deep breaths.

The delicate breeze delicately brushed against my face as I watched the twisting mists dashed with one another in a dark blue sky. Trilling birds joyfully moved around overhead as the trees waved their hand in energy.

"I'd truly appreciate it if I could smack these confirmations in the faces of cosmologists." I mumbled to myself.

I was beyond sad at the time. The thing was, my mother had told me about a special day the day before. I thought it was a revelation, so I was thrilled. Who would have imagined that would be getting into the school or foundation, is it?

It's strange, isn't it?

I was only two years old, and sure enough, a two-year-old couldn't do anything but weep. Truth be told— my growth in here was tremendous. I had reached the stage where I could do anything that an adult human could do. I could carry a ton of weight, run for as long as I wanted, or fly for nearly an hour. The question then becomes, what if magic was involved? No, because my mother informed me that my mana reservoir had yet to be activated. That means dragons were inherently quick to develop. Another element contributed to the swift growth of dragons. The dragon bodies were used for risk-taking and other activities. As a result, they were forced to survive on their own, and thus their development were quick than others. That left my height at the moment.

If my memory served me well, I started kindergarten when I was four years old. Four years at least are far more intelligent than three years. Of course, 39 years had passed, I can't remember so.

After realizing that it was all about getting accepted to the foundation, I attempted to be obstinate. Yes, I was at a loss for words at the time. As of now, I still couldn't come up with any suggestions. I believed that being persistent would be the best course of action because kids are notoriously stubborn. After all, my main goal was to live a happy life, right?

Ultimately I agreed to. I accepted—sort of when I understood why. Though, in my heart, I still didn't want to.

A story about a dragon king and Saint.

Nidhoggr, the kings of dragons who once ruled the world, was unrivalled throughout the world. A fearless divine dragon with the power to devastate the entire world.

On the other hand, there was a white goblin called Isabelle, also known as the White Saint, who truly cared about those in need. She possessed the ability to influence others to follow her. She definitely had some cheating ability.

Since Nidhoggr was incarnation of dark, and Isabelle was incarnation of light. Light and darkness cannot coexist in the same space. As such, war was unavoidable. Light and darkness collided. Saint was not weak; she was also said to be of the same caliber as Nidhoggr. They fought continuously for two days in a remote location, where they were no one to observe what happened at there. The entire world was praying for Isabelle, but it was not for Nidhoggr—not even his own kin. Isabelle died after a two-day battle, while Nidhoggr was only injured. The news took over her followers like a wild fire. Despite the fact they were loyal followers of Isabelle, no one dared attempt to remove her body from the scene. No one, not a single one. Who could get body in such danger, I mean?

After Isabelle passed on, the individual who brought Isabelle body was, in all honesty, Nidhoggr himself. He took the body to the current Manor du and buried her body. After burying her, it was stated that Nidhoggr and his kin—which included us—went to a specific location. After witnessing such behaviour, our species also followed their king. He was their king, after all. They all followed their king, and together they traveled to a place that was also known as Yggdrasil in the modern world. While his kin lived in the other regions, Nidhoggr started out living on a mountain. On top of the mountain, where he educated many of his kin, was where he spent the majority of his time.

That led to the founding of the current foundation.

The primary goal of the foundation was to advance his kind and preserve the traditions of the past.

Mom's story definitely sounded like one of mythology stories, but it had a suspicious amount of detail to it. Or, was it real story though? The two countries are included in the story, that meant only one thing. The story was almost sounded 60% true for me. And, I was convinced.

I'm sure Isabelle and Nidhoggr bet something there. How could a such dangerous being suddenly change so?

Returning to the topic at hand.

Accordingly, the foundation only accepted students after three years— only in the absence of divine dragons was that put into action.

Since I was born and turned two years old, the tale was different now. For me, the foundation merely put a six-year hold on the process because each fresh batch was accepted in the interval of three years.

When the three years were up, a fresh batch was supposed to be allowed, and I was born at that precise moment. The process therefore extended into more three years as a result of my birth influence. To explain in short, the foundation top priority was divine dragons.

It was just for me. I never anticipated being so unique to nearly all kids.

Another thing that struck me was that it was not your typical school. It was incredibly well-liked all throughout the world. In fact, everyone who came to this foundation—including humans, vampires, and human-like creatures—came for a better life and a better job. I must therefore correct myself.

I had no idea that I'd so important to the entire world.

Only, to enter this establishment, they needed to pass each of the five phases of affirmation — composing, interview, clinical and actual assessment.

Great, isn't that so? Simply envision, to have this much advantages. Well...Well, how about we simply finish presentation part. In this manner, our race were conceded a free ticket easily.

As it were..... I'm child of leader. Ok, nothing extraordinary to tell the truth.

By and large, kids were humanoid in our species. It was entirely role of genes that determined the child race. That case was completely restricted to them on the grounds. While taking me into consideration, both folks were divine dragon; and consequently I had complete chance of being 100% divine dragon.

Unexpectedly, I heard a boisterous squeaking sound coming from the entryway.

"Son, It's time. I have chatted with the chief, he's sitting tight for us in the banquet hall." A loud deep voice came from the entrance. Who, fortunately, turned out to be my father.

As he entered the room, I waved my tremendous wings making a touch of wind around there. Urgh? Again.

I was simply attempting to extend my hands like I used to do in my past life. Indeed, this was significantly less than it was one year prior. So I was unable to fault to the abrupt change in my body. In any case, we can't keep the chief standing by this time for us.

"OK, father we should meet the head administrator." I said as I flew towards the entryway, making somewhat of a wreck in the room.

Dragon foundation was built at Yggdrasil's westernmost point. It spanned the entire yggdrasil point. It was the largest school in the world when taking that much land into consideration. Despite having such a large amount of land, it only consisted of three buildings. The remaining space was made up of gardens with lakes and trees. It featured a sizable stadium, practice fields, and accommodation options. There were no requirements regarding gender for enrollment.

The building closest to the gates was the one where students studied out of the three. It was divided into an upper and a lower section. We were in the lower section. We were moving in the direction of the lobby. Since the reception area served as the building's entrance and the waiting room was on the second floor, we had to descend.

The long, straight hallway leading to the reception hall was fascinatingly embellished with chess tiles on the floor, sculptures serving as support structures, and an opulent entrance at the far end. My father informed me on the way that he had passed the Foundation six years ago. Six years. For six years, I was required to attend this? Come on. This was just too lengthy. I'm a young child, do they not adore me? Meanwhile, the six years kept ringing in my ears as this old man continued his story. Even though he was considerably too enthusiastic, he managed to speak clearly. He gave me the impression that he was nation's rightful king. I mean, I don't back him. But who has that kind of emotional restraint? I assume nobody? He continued to describe his life's journey as I listened to his story. He described how he and my mother fell in love. Nothing unique. My father's line assisted my mother's family while my mother's line served as the monarch of this nation. How ironic. My mother started to fall in love with him by some cruel twist of fate. No, it was him who had a crush on my mother. He also mentioned how he had defeated 1000 troops to defend the nation. So this was the frightening part of my old guy.

In any event, the fundamental things I want had to do with the foundation. The role known as the chief served as the foundation's leader. Additionally, this chief post was the second-highest position in our race, holding authority over things like financial aid, education, exploration, and tact. This meeting therefore wasn't a joke. I should be cautious in how I communicate with him. And the chief was known as Gondor, who was essentially my father's best buddy. They shared the same section when they were in foundation. Apparently, he—not my father—was the one who was supposed to be king. Yes, my father was supposed to be the chief. Ironically, he was reluctant to give me the details. It was possible, though, based on his expression, that something negative occurred at that time. I couldn't care less. Don't they communicate with one another? Why then would I think out of the box?

Next, the foundation's structure was divided into six grades. They were: sixth, the first year; fifth, the second year; fourth, the third year; third, the fourth year; second, the second highest year; first, the top class. After this session, you would have attained the highest rankings as a result. Sometimes in the global rankings.

It sounds good, doesn't it? Plain as in the earth— exams were what increased our grade. However, that was not the case in this instance. This school used a point system with merits and demerits.

First off, I had now secured a permanent position at this school. After that, I'll be assigned to one of the divisions, which were A, B, C, D, and E. There were five divisions altogether. Because of the qualifications procedure of others, my divison was now undefined. It might be any of the division. As I previously said, I will be assigned to a specific section based on the number of points I have. I'd have 5 points, which I'm sure would be a struggle to obtain. The more points I have, the better I will be placed. Similarly, the facilities differed in each section. The worst facility I could find was in the E section. I will not receive a good education or sufficient funds. Ah, the money was required because this was based on a hostel, therefore it contained everything that Out-World had. You only required money for it. It was as though I would receive a monthly stipend based on my section position. I could do anything with that money. For example, during six years, I could buy my own house in there. My father had purchased it. And he was in section A to get this money. The challenging thing was that in order to obtain 5 points, for example, I needed to score higher than what is generally expected. In comparison to the qualification, examinees must consistently win three exams to get 5 points. Isn't it a little frightening? 5 points in every way was cheating on my part. So, wouldn't I be a target for others?

The idea behind this was, for instance, that section A at the time only had two students—my dad and I. My dad had four points, whereas I had five. Add it. That would equal 9 points, which will be the section's overall point. Therefore, they had to win that point if any class wished to be in A position. Points can be gathered in many ways on school property. In either case, a student's total time would be one year. If any section does not gather the required points to upgrade within that time frame. The lower 25 would then be required to leave the school. 50% of the class, to be precise. That was because a class would have 50 students.

We had descended the stairway and were now at the reception area. There were two stairs to descend. Both were same in the end. I took the right one, while my father took the left. It was the largest room I had ever seen with my own two eyes. The room had six gold-plated doors and windows, a large image of a divine dragon on the roof, and was completely brilliant. The reception desk was to my left and was exactly half the width of the room. I was admiring the picture when my dad was invited by a number of the desk-area females. They had an aristocratic appearance.

Where am I? Is this a palace?

In the midst of the room, there were appealing sofas and table. A brown newspaper was placed on the table. A slender man was sitting there with newspaper over his face. I was unable to identify him. He also wore a pair of tall, black boots that were perfect with his clothing. I looked at my right sides. There was a sizable portrait of a regal old gentleman. He possessed two green horns, which was a sure sign that he was a divine dragon. He was donning a golden crown with a bloody crimson ruby in the center.

Ho...? What is that?

I concentrated on the bottom of the painting, which was obscured by the white light.

From: 03/08/1 To: 02/09/160

...

It had been written. Isn't the left side the birth date and the right side the death date? That is what it should be. There was no other option.

Someone in front of me was attempting to address me. Yet me? I was swimming in my own pool.

"Good morning, young master. It's great to see the forthcoming prince."

Huh? Who exactly is this? I turned to face my front. Only to find out that the person seated on the sofa was before me.

He was a tall young man with crimson hair and mysterious red rose eyes who was dressed honourably. He was bowing his head. He had a single section of hair laid on his front and a tuft of hair knotted to the rear.

"May I know you?.." I pondered, waggling my head to the right.

"Ah! I sincerely apologize. I am the Gondor, the foundation's headmaster." He made a delicate bow.

Whoa! Do you mean this person? The Dragon Foundation's director, about whom my father informed me.

I thought all head administrators seemed to be similar: little, round, and with a long dim moustache.Totally not quite the same as what I had expected.

"Ah! Ah! You are not required to..." I panicked and flung my wings in his way. His hair fibers rhymed with my fluttering.

Gee, I should've done that bowing. My first encounter with him was wrecked. Aargh. Ch!

How should I proceed? Now, though. Meanwhile, I heard my father bust out laughing.

"Haha. Curie, madam. You don't have to be that way."

Argh, his laughter was adding to the awkwardness. What should I do? Let's....

"Ah. You don't have to freak out like that. I'm frequently mistaken for it."

He said it before I said anything.

Ah...No. I blew another opportunity. Ch! I am a disgrace.

"There is no issue." I acted my way through it. I didn't want him to know how embarrassed I was.

This was my opportunity.

"Y.."

"Sir.."

Our words tangled. There was awkward once more. Why did I have to do it? He flashed me a friendly smile.

"You continue," he said.

Crap! What was I attempting to ask him something? No... I gave him a look. He was looking at me with a puzzled expression. No...

"Are you a divine dragon?" I blurted out.

Oh sh*t.

He had two perfectly dark, lengthy horns on him. I questioned him about it, despite the fact that his horns were the most prominent in the room.

He was obviously a strong man, thus the best course of action was to conclude with a few words as opposed to a thorough conversation. Here I was, not even knowing what I was going to say.

"Haha, obviously, yes. Did you think I was another monster?"

Yes...yes...that was it. I simply have to go with his thought process. God is good! He was unlike any principal I had ever encountered.

"Yes! I inquired just to be sure because I am aware that there are many different creatures."

"Just like your father predicted, you are. a brilliant youngster."

Gondor.....so! He had a name. How did he earn his name? I'm confident my parents told me the naming would demand mana. How are things different from what they were told if they are? I should just find out more about that.

"Haha. He did. Well, sir. How did you get your name? Your name has caused what I knew up until now to disintegrate. Any cause?" I said, adding some vigor to my voice.

"Do you already know who I am? What a surprise that is," He took a brief pause before continuing, "Haha, I'll be pleased to fill you in on that. Let's have a discussion there."

It was sofa, where he said to talk about it.

And I didn't mind at all. I got to know with comfortable. What else did I need besides that?

We then moved to a sofa. I was sitting there when all of a sudden I had a reminiscence associated with it.

My three childhood companions were Yugo, Lama, and Sunio. At the time, we were all three enthralled by magic and practically crazy about it. We used to do crazy things every second in this way. We three frequently played.

"Squash my enemies, all-powerful earth!" Lama yelled, clenching his hand against the bed.

"Haha, before this water magician, none of this matters." Sunio roared, clutching his palm as if water were pouring out of it.

"Welcome this all-powerful lord, you tricks. My spiritual influence on you is often strong." I muttered, thinking I was floating in the air.

And, in actuality, three of us—due to our delusions—fought to the point where Sunio Mother reprimanded us.

"Hehe." I giggled.

"So I will start, okay? Young master."

"Ah...yeah, sure."

"Practically, naming isn't what you believe it is. We require it in order to have a unique identity. You can identify yourself through naming, although monsters are particularly vulnerable to this. It could endanger your life if you are careless. Even while it can seem difficult to obtain, I'll explain why it's dangerous for monsters. Humans, however, are not implied by this. They don't even have to be concerned about it, really. The primary naming theme is closely tied to nether and aether features. I won't include that portion. But in simple terms. In order to name a monster, a person must possess more mana than the creature being named. For instance, my mother gave me my name. Merely because I'm a human being. It is a human gene effect, which I regrettably can't share with my master. However, you will study it at school. The name will, in some mysterious manner, link us to the person who gave it to us; nevertheless, it may also be fatal. For example, if I were to mention your name here but I didn't know about your mana reservoir or if it was bigger than mine. You will receive my entire body as mana. Due to the fact that your reservoir is larger than mine. The simplest method to learn about it is in this way. As a result, your measurements of mana reserve, talents, and evolution are critical in all aspects of your existence. And it is completely accurate. Our world functions in a magical way, which is why attaining 100% is so easy here."

"Oh....."

I was nodding in agreement with his lengthy explanation. In any case, naming was more difficult than dying.

"Can I have a name that isn't real?"

"You should not do so. It's your name, and any name will be imprinted on you. Do not, not even in jest, name any monsters. That is a taboo for us. Monsters."

"Of course."

This essentially amounted to a death sentence for any monsters. Consider this: you suddenly disperse like salt in water. Never name others, Otani. I slapped myself, or my imagined self.

The hall was deserted, as if no one was there. I looked around the corridor. Only a girl and a large man were present at the reception desk. My dad wasn't present.

Where did father go, I wonder?

"He should be in the ID department. We should leave right away."

That, my dad, how could he?. He genuinely left his son alone with the principal. Does he not worry that his son will be taken away? Ah, the question is, who would? I mean, I'm a prince in real life.

"Yes, that's right." I concurred. We both moved in the direction of the entrance next to the front desk.

And that was my first encounter with the headmaster.
