Arryn arrived in front of a three-floor inn, as Jill had said, looking luxurious and crowded with visitors. Not a few of them came to the place wearing more expensive clothes than what Arryn knew.

The young man tied his horse to a pole near the inn's entrance. Jill seemed to be waiting while leaning her back against the inn's door.

"The innkeeper is one of my friends. I'm sure he can give you the same price as me," Jill replied, inviting Arryn to enter and register himself at the reception desk.

"Welcome to our inn. May I help you?" asked one of the receptionists, smiling as her palms seemed to join together in welcoming the two of them.

"I'd like to stay here for the night," Arryn replied.

"Staying for one night, huh? You can fill out this form," the receptionist asked, taking out a paper and handing it to Arryn.

The young man immediately filled out the form with his right hand, unlike Jill, who seemed to be having a friendly chat with the receptionist lady in front of Arryn. Even th

*** Three hours later. Arryn opened his eyes, and the first thing he saw was the ceiling of his room. Not only what appeared before him but also what he felt as well. He clearly saw that his pajama clothes were already on his body. Arryn was on his back without a blanket. His right hand tried unbuttoning his pajamas and saw that his abdomen and chest were already wrapped in bandages. "What exactly happened?" asked Arryn, speaking to himself. The door to Arryn's room opened, and Ivy arrived with both hands carrying a bag of snacks. The woman turned her head to the left and smiled broadly when she saw Arryn was awake. "Oh, you're awake," Ivy greeted. "Did I faint?" asked Arryn. Ivy placed the food and drinks she had bought on the wooden table. She stepped closer to Arryn and sat on the chair on the left side of Arryn's bed. "Yes. You've been unconscious for about three hours," Ivy replied, opening the cold drink she had bought for Arryn to drink. "Then this bandage, did you put

Arryn turned to Ivy, who was behind his back. The young man nodded his head to let him talk in private with the Commander of the city guard. Not only Arryn but the three soldiers who were ordered to visit Arryn also left immediately to let their Commander talk to Arryn. They went together, leaving Arryn and the man in military uniform alone. The two sat on the sofa, facing each other with two glasses in front of them on the wooden table. The door to the room was closed tightly, but the windows of the room remained open to letting in the refreshing morning air. "Before we talk further about the city defense plan, it would be nice to introduce myself first," said the man commanding the city guard. "My name is Albert. I am the Commander of the Luxizar City Guard Force," he explained, saying his name in front of Arryn. "Three hours ago, we received news that the rebels have taken over the eastern gate in the city of Horus, some of the city soldiers guarding that place have also been d

***Evening.Arryn continued to stir the warm chicken soup the innkeeper had brought him. Arryn's needs at the inn were under the responsibility of the city's government, so the young man did not spend a penny on this meal.He sat on the sofa with the soup bowl placed on the wooden table. Right before the table was Ivy, who had been preparing for a reconnaissance mission; Arryn had asked her to do it tonight."Are you sure you won't eat before you go? You're going to have a difficult and tiring reconnaissance there," Arryn replied, looking quietly at Ivy with his face completely uncovered by the white mask."I'm still full," Ivy said. That was good if the meal had managed to stave off her hunger. However, no matter what, after she finished her reconnaissance, Arryn had to provide food for her.The young man continued to eat the warm soup that was provided for him; the soup was savoury and quite spicy. Those flavours did not destroy the overall taste of the food; even Arryn felt like a

"What is it? Do you need a lot of information about the disunity within the city?" asked one of the men, sitting next to Arryn after he overheard the conversation between the young man and the maid. Arryn turned his head slowly, paying close attention to the man's face and body. He seemed like he wanted to join in on the conversation between Arryn and the maid, but his enthusiasm was something Arryn had to be wary of; he could be someone assigned to hurt Arryn. "Who are you?" asked Arryn, wanting to know the name of the man who approached him. "My name is Mason. I'm a journalist in this town," replied the man, lowering his black hat as he extended his right hand. Arryn shook Mason's right hand tightly. It was a coincidence that he met a journalist inside the bar. If Arryn looked back, especially the expression on Mason's face. Arryn did not sense any serious threat from the man at all. "From which newspaper company?" asked the barmaid, squinting her eyes to confirm Mason's workpla

Arryn could have gotten rid of them easily, but his location in the city center made people risk getting hurt. In the end, Arryn agreed to the blue-clad man's request to speak with Arryn one-on-one. The man in blue nodded his head. He walked first, followed by Arryn, and finally by his five bodyguards, who always held their swords. They were wary of Arryn's presence, especially considering the young man's clothes. "It's like you're treating me like a criminal," Arryn said, occasionally glancing behind him at the five male guards. "We certainly don't want to, but after hearing your conversation earlier, we feel threatened by you," the man replied. The man was clearly threatening Arryn because the young man knew too much about the dispute between the two nobles. However, the expression on his face was completely different. He smiled broadly with both eyes closed, a truly cold-blooded trait. "I'm sure you're no ordinary person. No foreigner would want to know exactly what happened to

"W-Who are you?" asked Arslan, pointing rudely at Arryn's face because the young man had destroyed the Howlingbird's roof. Arryn turned to look at Arslan, and not long after, he walked over while brandishing a sword at the man. The blade of the sword with the blazing fire felt warm when it was close to Arslan's neck, making the man instantly break out in cold sweat from fear. "Are you planning a coup against the government?" asked Arryn, squinting his eyes as he stared intently at the man before him. "N-No. I'm not the one planning the coup," Arslan replied. It was clear from Arryn's eyes that Arslan's face turned pale white, his hands trembling in fear that Arryn would swing the sword and cut off his head easily at any moment. From behind Arryn's back, three soldiers in thick armor were seen running fast with both hands tightly grasping long swords. Their faces covered by a protective helmet, they sped confidently as if they could knock Arryn down. Arryn pointed his sword at the

Arryn stepped closer to the two people who could use magic. He took the gem in their hands and smashed the item until it broke by stepping on it. After the blue-coloured gem was destroyed, the magic circle blocking this room's exit began to fade. Arryn tried to open the door, which finally opened without any obstruction. "Do you stand with Luningard?" the old man asked, annoyance on his face. "I do not stand for anyone. I stand only for the people. They are my first priority to be saved from your threat," Arryn explained. "If you try to hurt the citizens of this city, then I will not hesitate to stop you!" said Arryn, threatening them with a solemn threat. As Arryn walked out of the room, several people were gathered in front of the Howlingbird noble leader's room. Most of them were curious about the discussion held between Arryn and their leaders. *** The next day. The man Arryn had asked for finally arrived. Albert came at 7 am alone; he was not escorted by his members. He entered Arryn's room and met the young man, who was relaxing while enjoying the refreshing morning air that flowed into his room. "How are you?" greeted Albert, extending his right hand forward, asking Arryn to shake his hand firmly. "Fine. How about you?" asked Arryn back, Albert only answering him with a smile clearly written on his face. Arryn was currently seen sitting on the single sofa, drinking the hot tea he had made while staring at the room's window. Albert was invited to sit on the long sofa close to Arryn. "There's something I need to discuss in secret with him. Would you mind waiting outside, Ivy?" asked Arryn. Ivy smiled. The woman didn't mind Arryn's request at all. She thought that perhaps what the two of them would talk about was so sensitive that it only needed to be known by those two people. Ivy walked slowly to the room door and w
