Exchange Clues

Gerald's smile had no sneaky intent behind it. It was a genuine smile, and Gin didn't doubt it.

Gerald was a legend. Everyone in this world was a witness to his kindness, and Gin had no intention of becoming his enemy. But somehow, his smile bothered Gin.

Those warm eyes and that smile felt so familiar.

Gargan stood between Gin and Gerald. She had been worried about something she couldn't say. She opened her mouth several times, but no words came out.

"Aargh! This is really frustrating me!" she complained while stomping her feet.

"What?" Viviz raised an eyebrow. Only she noticed Gargan's strange behavior, while Gin and Gerald continued to share glances.

"You will not understand."

Gargan tried to say something, but only her lips moved while no sound came out of her mouth. She picked up a stick and wrote on the ground, but every line she had just written disappeared. The oath kept her from saying anything about her master.
