The Holy Axe

The fire grew bigger and entered the room, burning down all the curtains on the windows. Dense smoke filled the room, hurting the eyes and choking the neck.

Amidst all the chaos, Gin was still grappling with the axe that wouldn't budge. Gin used all of his strength, but the axe remained still.

He could split the earth with his strength, but this corroded and rusty axe couldn't even lift. The axe was very heavy and stuck to the glass case.

"How come it's this heavy," Gin muttered while trying to lift it again.

Madam Larry took it as if it was nothing. She even threw this axe easily. But why couldn't Gin do it? Was that old woman stronger than him? It was impossible.

"What are you doing?" Someone spoke from behind Gin's back.

Gin fell silent. He knew it was Madam Larry's voice, she probably went back inside after remembering about the axe they left behind. Gin cursed under his breath, he took time too long.

"I'm sorry madam. I just wanted to save this axe from the fire," Gin said, still
