Steering

Zen dashed out of his office with immediate alacrity and headed to his car that was parked in the garage. He forgot his pain and the sorrows that was tugging at his chest.

He was worried to the marrow and the more he tried to calm down, the more his heart rose. He had just one wish and that was for her to be well. Nothing else mattered to him, at least for that moment.

His hands controlled the steering as hard as he could and barely paid any attention to the road. To lessen the tension in him, he fiddled with the stereo flooding the car with music.

His throbbing nerves calmed a bit and before he realised it, he began humming to it.

One thing still wasn't clear to him and that was the fact that Stella happened to be in the same hotel as the investors who had just left his company. What had she gone to do there?

"Maybe she has a business meeting," he thought to himself with a shrug of the shoulder.
