“How many Night Skunkweeds should we get, Kuro?” Chloe asks.I answer, “As many as your hands can grab, Zoe. My sack is as big as a billion elephants, so we don’t have to worry about the space of it.”“Now that’s… what I can call a national treasure grade item, Kuro. No wonder you’re a living being, technically a human, that is out of this world,” Prince Faelar remarks and nods at my sentence as he collects the vines and puts them in my storage.Since Prince Faelar is a part of my crew, he also has, somewhat, access in my inventory bag, granting me a few slots of my space. I am like a weapon and a carriage bag meant to store things and kill individuals, which is really ironic and unnecessary. But it is what it is. “Ho? Zoe said the same thing! I don’t really get national grade treasures… So, how about this Night Skunkweed? They’re very rare, and they are ingredients that can be used to create high-grade potions, right? This should be worth more than what you guys have in the market,”
I don’t know if it’s better to fight four Terra Golems and leave one for Prince Faelar or attack the five and let Prince Faelae find shelter as far away as possible to preserve his life. Either way, we don’t have a choice. We’re currently up against the five Terra Golems, and each statue has already targeted our figures. And it will be difficult for us to lose them,For the time being, we continue this track and make sure none of us can get hit by the Terra Golems. While that is happening, I switch my gun into something more useful.I start off with an SMG called UMP-45. I know that submachines are terribly weaker when compared to the rifle, but I need a burst of damage against these Terra Golems… or at least I am trying to figure out if a barrage of bullets would do a damn thing against them. And if I experience troubles with my SMG, I can switch my gear depending on the need of the situation. For now, I will not change my secondary weapon. It’s because the revolver deals slightly hi
The place is as big as a plaza. This area can fit a few hundred trucks and the height is as tall as an above average building. And the only thing that fills this place is none other than the Night Skunkweeds and other stones sturdy enough to crash against a monster truck at full speed without even shattering into pieces. So there’s no way for any monsters to enter this place and add up to the pile of conflicts we already have. That I’m sure of it. Farther from us is another opening leading to another place. And based on my map, the location ahead is quite similar to this terrain… But there are landmarks that are elevated, and an abyssal hole below ground, indicating that some ground has fissures. Further investigation of these tracks has led me to speculate that once we fall there, we will never get ourselves back up. That is the only other exit besides the one we have entered in. The land onward is a tricky road. But if we want to isolate these Terra Golems away from Prince Faela
We have tried everything. Chloe also throws each grenade in Terra Golem’s direction, specifically the one who she is fighting against for the duration of the fight. But alas, her efforts aren’t rewarded. The explosives aren’t enough. And the flashbang and the grenade only momentarily freezes the Terra Golem, which does nothing but delays the inevitable. We still have one grenade, flashbomb, and smoke grenade to use. And the three canisters have approximately 4 minutes before they have another stock again in our inventory.Soon after, it is now the Terra Golem’s move to attack. Once the dust settles in, the four statues rush in our direction without hesitation and ends up tossing Chloe at the side. The princess is too slow to react as the monster’s hand crashes against her. As soon as the rocky hand hits Chloe, she flies and hits a narrow bridge. I thought we were going to die. Fortunately, that isn’t the case, considering Chloe hopelessly grasps on the floor’s ledge and pulls herself
“So let me sum up your plan, Kuro… Basically, we go after the Terra Golem’s legs, specifically one leg - but it would be better for us to choose one part, so it would be the right one -, and hope they will crack. And if it creates a fissure, we will store the severed limb in our inventory and push the golem away, hoping it would fall. Is that right, Kuro?”“But what happened to the headshots, Kuro? Is it not the Terra Golem’s weakness at the head? Or am I seeing things differently?” Chloe adds. “Well, technically, most of our enemies would have a weakness found on their heads. The same can be said to the golems, since the head should be the most fragile part of those stone statues compared to its other body part. But… That doesn’t mean we have to aim our guns and bullets in that direction. We can compromise and change course, since defeating the Terra Golems at its head won’t cut it. It would be if we only had better guns. But not this time. Maybe we can spam grenades at its head, ho
“Are you okay?” I ask.Chloe grits her teeth and nods. “Yeah… I think I am alright.”Clearly, Chloe has injured her knee and that makes it difficult for her to stand let alone walk. But she bears the pain and shrugs it off as if it’s nothing but out of the ordinary. Dejavu. This happened before, and it is happening again. But instead of succumbing to the pain and surrendering against these golems, Chloe picks herself back up and stands her ground. Her eyes glare in the distance where the Terra Golems can be found. I want to ask if Chloe can still run. But it seems that is a useless question if I wish to throw it at her. What if Chloe shakes her head and answers “No”. What am I going to do and expect? Nothing. So instead of pressing the idea, I continue on praising Chloe and spitting plans on what we can do about this situation.“For starters, that’s a good block, Chloe. It could’ve been worse, but it didn’t. We could’ve died, and that would have been the end of it. But yeah. So… I h
And that is one minute. As soon as Chloe notices that these Terra Golems are keeping up the pace, she will run backward once again. The princess climbs towards one platform onto the other, hoping she can somehow create a distance between us and the Terra Golems.Woefully, these scumbags of a monster are faster than any other creatures we have faced. The moment Chloe turns her back around, the Terra Golems are already catching up, and are almost a few yards away from where we are. So instead of using the sniper, Chloe switches to me with a rifle and pulls the trigger. Despite the panic inducing situation, Chloe still manages to aim at me, her gun, properly and hits those limbs of the Terra Golems.Chloe does this for a few too many times until the Terra Golems are only a few feet away. The princess then swaps me with an SMG, the UMP-45, and wreaks havoc against our targets, still desperately trying to aim for the Terra Golem’s legs. But this time, most of her bullets missed. All these
Fortunately, our chance shows signs of life as we find these Terra Golems injured after the barrage of bullets we have rained upon our opponents. But it is at the cost of a new pattern of attack we have unlocked to our bosses. Instead of just charging in our direction, these golems efficiently come up with an idea and let two others perform what they do best while the other hurls rocks at us at a jaguar speed. But seeing those cracks on the Terra Golem’s skins makes us brimming with joy, knowing we have a fighting chance. The only thing we have to do now is to continue throwing grenades at our enemies and shooting them from afar or near. That’s our only choice. Despite what we are seeing right now, we still have to dodge those projectiles from reaching our figures. Eventually, those rocks finally hit us. But since these Terra Golems are not great pitchers, these rocks deal an average amount of damage against Chloe. Still, that has left a mark on Chloe’s skin. And as a princess, havi
