"It is because of the joy of watching you little insects writhe in pain. It's such a sight to behold that…"
I can't believe it works!
The dragon just gave a full speech on why he likes watching humans suffer. He's also adding stuff about his life. Good. With this, I can find a way out of this.
Okay, If I was in another world, maybe I would have some ability that can help me, like those I read from the books I have collected. What is it call again? Status menu? Upon that thought, a menu then showed up in front of me.
It worked!
I got excited and took a look at what I had now.
Wow, my stats are off-charts.
Everything in my status menu was maxed out. The only thing that wasn't maxed out was my luck. I have extra skills called creative hands and a piece of equipment called a storage box.
What the heck is a creative hand and storage box?
I was hoping I could use that stat to get me out of the situation. I wonder what my level was. I checked it out too.
Whoa! My level was also maxed out too!
With all this information, I don't feel so scared about this dragon. No, I shouldn't get cocky even though my level and status are maxed out.
The dragon could be just like me. Speaking of which…
I took a glance at the dragon, and he was still talking. Wow! This dragon loves himself. I think he's talking about his teenage life now.
How long is this guy going to talk? Also, how is his life story involved in watching humans suffer?
I put away that question for now and tried to figure out how to look at its status. After focusing on the dragon briefly, a menu appraisal appeared, showing the dragon's status.
Alright! I looked at the dragon's status, and my hopes started reappearing. This guy is only level three hundred forty and classified as a level A monster. I don't know if this is good or bad news. But according to the appraisal menu, this dragon is a fire type and mimics the human voice, which it acquired from consuming humans before. I saw that everything about this dragon was valuable. Almost nothing is wasted. Even its meat, according to the menu, the taste is out of this world.
I don't know, but my mouth watered suddenly, and I felt like I could handle this big guy.
No, no, no. I shook my head. I must find a way to defeat this flying dinosaur if I want to survive. Since I know the dragon's status, I should now see what ability I can use. I took another look at my menu to see if I had any abilities I could use against the dragon.
When I saw my ability list, I found out that I had a bunch of magic spells that I could use.
Wow! I'm a magic user! That's cool.
I once again held my excitement because I needed to focus on the job at hand. Okay, I'll need to use a defensive magic spell since I want to keep myself from getting burnt alive.
I then saw a Shield spell. The sound of it seemed like the one I needed, and this should work. I didn't know how to use it, so I tried to say it.
"Shield."
Something appeared in front of me. It was like a glassy slime that formed a circle that shaped itself with me inside and suddenly became invisible. This caught the distracted dragon because he felt a strange presence coming from me.
"Hmm, what's this?" He wondered while examining me.
The dragon didn't step on the bridge, so I didn't have anything to worry about, but if he found out about my shield, then I would be screwed. I need to take the offensive.
I look at my menu to see any offensive magic spells.
Damn! Where are they?!
I kept searching through the list but didn't find any magic spells that could be used for attacking enemies. Are you kidding me?
"For some reason, I'm getting a strange vibe from you. It's starting to concern me, so I'll have to kill you now." Saying this, the dragon began to breathe in.
Shit!
I turned around and started running back to the house.
The dragon then shot its fire breath at me. I kept running and running, but the fire caught up with me before I could escape.
The good news is, my shield held up. But the bad news was the bridge wasn't. I heard the ropes that helped the bridge begin to snap, and I figured I only had a few seconds before the whole thing collapsed.
I then ran back to the other side and left the bridge before it completely collapsed.
Phew, that was too close.
"How interesting," the dragon muttered while flapping his wings.
He then flew up into the sky and landed near me. I couldn't help but tried to escape but couldn't.
"I've never seen a human that could block my fire breath with a magic shield. You're turning into an interesting insect…but also a nuisance as well!" the dragon roared.
The dragon seemed irritated and slammed his giant dragon hand down atop me. Fortunately, my shield was still working.
"What!? That's impossible!" The dragon was perplexed that my shield was protecting me. He roared out of frustration and slapped his hands multiple times repeatedly, but my shield was doing its job protecting me.
I looked at my magic spells list but still couldn't find any spells like fireball, thunderbolt, earth stone, and wind slash. Where are all my elemental magic attacks spells?!
Suddenly I heard a crack that came from my shield.
Oh shit, this thing isn't going to last much longer, but I haven't seen any offensive magic yet! I searched all the lists three to four times and still couldn't find any combat spells!
If I don't do anything, the dragon will burn me, and the possibility of being his snack is high! I need plan B!
After looking at the menu for a while, I used another magic spell that could help me."Creative hand...How does this thing work?" I asked myself. I clicked the creative menu, and a few lists appeared under it.Cook…Sew…Build…Make…I kept on searching until I stumbled upon a very interesting word.ReplicationAhah! Replicating! Let's see what I can do with it. I tapped on it and read the explanation. .. can replicate everything you wanted to replicate, including the abilities of the things you wanted to replicate."Are you sure you want to do that?"A voice suddenly spoke to me out of nowhere, making me gasp. Someone is speaking inside my head. "Who the hell are you?" I replied to whoever was speaking inside of my mind."I'll explain later. Do you want to use replication?" "Yes!""Tell me what you want to replicate. And say it."Perfect! This is perfect! I immediately think of something that will defeat the Dragon. And when I think of someone who could stand on Dragon's fire, I
I took another look at my magic spell list and did a thorough search so that I didn't miss a single spell. After five minutes of meticulously searching, I have now confirmed that I have no offensive magic. "I told you. You weren't blessed with any offensive magic," Terissa said. "What kind of crap is that? I'm given a bunch of awesome magic spells, yet I can't have any offensive magic spells? How am I going to protect myself?" "Maybe if you come back inside the house, you'll figure something out eventually. I'm just your guide, and I don't have the power to answer you beyond my expertise," Terissa said before shutting herself down. Ugh. I have the feeling that my life here would be like a roller coaster. Ever since that dragon incident, I haven't left the manor in a while. I was afraid I'd get attacked again, so I've been cooped up in the house for almost a week. It wasn't that bad, though. Terissa mentioned that the manor has a massive library where I spend most of my time. If
I started to replicate two human bodies, one male and one female. I knew Fenrir was a wolf male and Hel was a female."Do you think these bodies are worth Fenrir and Hel?" I asked Terissa while inspecting the bodies in front of me. "Yes, as long as those bodies will withstand their magic power. It will be alright when the magic cores are planted within them," she replied. "Alright, I think the bodies are ready to be planted," I said before withdrawing two red sphere-like glowing stones. "Woah, are these rubies?""Nope. But those are the most expensive cores in this world. Now, you must replace the heart with those magic cores. Once you plant it, the cores will know what to do," Terissa said. After listening to Terissa, I immediately wore gloves and picked the scalpel to make long wounds on the chest of each body. First, I removed the heart of the woman's body and replaced it with one of two cores. As I place the magic core, it molds into a heart replicating the one I remove. After
"Lower your pride, will you?" Hel finally drilled some sense into Fenrir's head after an argument. "This human gave us a chance to live again. You should at least thank him. You're free because of him."Fenrir looked fierce. He and I went into full battle using our eyes. And in the end, he lost and sighed. The two agreed to call me a master. And I did a full study of their bodies. "I need you two to do a few things so that I'll know if something is wrong with your body. Get up."My bodyguards then got up, with Fenrir mumbling something. I give them a few orders like walking, running, and even jumping. So far, there's nothing wrong with their bodies. Although the bodies were just replicas of humans, I'm not sure if they don't have any defects. I inspect them carefully. The skin wasn't ripping, so that's a good sign. Although Fenrir's body was electrified, he didn't acquire any wounds. "Is your body hurting or something?" I asked her. "No," he answered. "That's good," I told him.
So far, so good. We've been walking for a while and still haven't encountered any enemies. This is good. If this keeps up, we'll find a town, and possibly I could see an Adventure guild there. We were currently walking through a rocky plain and hadn't found any towns or villages yet. How long are we going to keep walking? It's good that I have maxed stamina, but it gets boring and mentally tiring. I wonder how Ace and Violet are. I took a look at them, and they appeared to be fine. Since they were both strong monsters, they didn't get tired or bored and looked the same. "Say, Terissa, if these two monsters were powerful, how powerful would they be?" I asked Terissa using Telepathy. "You should try checking their stats. You'll be able to use it like what you did to the dragon," she replied in a tone like, 'Omg, are you serious? You should have done it beforehand' manner. I used my appraisal sight and almost peed when I saw their power and skills. Ace and Violet overpowered me an
The village, towns, and cities are under the protection and watchful eyes of King Lockheart. The chief told me that each nation was protected by Aristocrats or royals that each God appointed after the war, and each nation was created and established. Those titles have been passed down from generation to generation. Since we were at Lakota Nation, we were in the King's territory. I was also informed that each ruler has been at odds with each other, and sometimes they battle each other. Yeah, I better stay away from that. I'll have to look at a few spells to help me prevent getting caught in the crossfire. And also, there's another thing I want to avoid, and I want to keep my abilities to myself. If people found out how I can do the things I can do, there's no doubt in my mind that I'll be used as some tool. I'll also have to ensure no one knows about Fenrir and Hel's true identity as the missing Celestial. The chief had told me the Gods of any nation don't want any other Celestials
When everything was ready, we left the village and headed to Redhorn Town, the closest town to this village. I acquired a carriage which I bought at a cheap price. It was broken, but I fixed it and upgraded it to last longer.A storage box was convenient for the horses and me since only the three of us were riding on them, and didn't weigh too much. During the trip to Redhorn, we decided to stop for the night and to prepare our dinner. "What's for our dinner?" Fenrir asked if he saw me preparing the folded table, I had pulled from the storage box. "Oven-cooked pork belly," I told him."Woah! Sounds tasty. How long will the cooking process take? I'm starving," he said. I could practically see saliva on his mouth. "I don't know. The usual pork in my world usually takes an hour to cook, but I don't know about the boar's pork here," I replied, pulling off the oven I replicated from Earth's typical oven. I upgraded it a bit, and instead of plugging it into any electric outlet, I fused
When Fenrir said he'd bring me tons of what he hunts, he didn't joke. There were huge deer, snakes, birds, bears, and oversized ostriches. The other pilled carcasses were pig-like creatures with two hands and feet. I don't know what it is, but I have a hint of what they were. The last pile was a huge wild boar with different skin colors and tusks. "You can sell what we don't need, but the meat will be ours," Fenrir said before lazily riding on the carriage as Hel, and I loaded the carcasses inside my storage box. After that, we finally started to move again. After a few days of traveling, we finally made it! It took us forever, but we finally arrived at Redhorn Town. As we approached the town, I noticed a watch tower that must have been used for scouting out intruders. We got to the entrance of the town and were stopped by guards. "Identification papers, please," One of the guards asked me. "I'm sorry, but I don't have any. I only got some permits here from the village chief," I
