The seductive woman licked her plump red lips and spoke in an alluring manner as she walked towards the sobbing group: “My-my, finally you found you!”
As one of the men saw her, he was already pale in fear, but after hearing the woman speak and seeing her walk toward the group he peed in terror. He knew exactly who she was, and what she was going to do to him. Just then one of the women could not take the terror and screamed as she tried to run away from the woman, but as she took two steps the seductive woman vanished from her spot and then appeared beside that woman and continued to walk towards the group, while the running woman’s head flew from her body and after take another step collapsed on the ground.
After seeing that many people from the group started vomiting while others screamed. Just then the seductive woman raised her right hand and put a finger over her lips and sweetly said: “Shhh! Or I’ll remove everyone’s head from their body.”
Suddenly everyone quieted down, and none tried to even make a peep. The seductive woman stood right in front of the group just an arm’s length away and spoke again: “Rahm, take him. Bhujang wants to deal with him personally.”
Hearing that Rahm came forward and grabbed the man by his throat and lifted him up. The man tried to struggle but just then Rahm blew his breath over his face and the man went limp. He then put the man over his shoulder like a ragdoll.
The seductive woman and Rahm turned around and started walking away, and the remaining people secretly sighed that they have survived a catastrophe, suddenly got their breath trapped in their lungs, because the seductive woman had turned around. She then lightly tapped her forehead and spoke in an apologetic manner: “Ah, sorry! I totally forgot about you all.” She took the dagger but this time she licked the blade and then vanished.
Soon after she reached Rahm and without speaking they both hurried towards the exit of the building where the other people that came with them waited for them.
They now only had 3 minutes left, and just as everyone exited an army-style chopper was waiting for them. They all boarded it except the seductive woman. Soon the engines started and the chopper flew and went up in the air and started moving towards the west, while the seductive woman standing on the ground had already vanished.

After a moment of darkness and feeling that familiar but, somehow at the same time foreign sensation of entering a portal Pran suddenly stepped out of the portal. The area where he arrived was very dimly lit, there was a torch burning at a distance. Suddenly he heard the familiar system ring and a window popped up before him:
[Ding! You have entered the ‘Lair of the Gobline King - Hell Mode’ dungeon!]
[Ding! Quest has been updated!]
Pran was distracted for a bit got his thoughts into control in an instant and became more vigilant.
“A ‘Lair’ type dungeon means that there will be a lot of traps, and a ‘King’ class monster, no matter how weak is still hard to deal with and this is hell mode… This is going to be a pain in the ass to clear swiftly. Good thing I left a letter on my bed stating that I sensed a portal and went to check it out, so I’ll have a lot of explaining to do when I return back. Thankfully I packed food and water, otherwise, I would have starved to death in this dungeon.”
Then he hurriedly opened the quest window to check the updated quest.
[Quest 1 - First Test (Updated): The Goblin King has built an army in his lair, and is trying to open a portal to ‘Earth’. Your task is to defeat the Goblin King and its army before the portal is complete. Their lair is a dangerous place, and the Goblin King's minions are fierce, so proceed with caution.]
Clearance Conditions:
Defeat the Goblin King's army: The Goblin King has built an army of goblin warriors, archers, and mages. You must defeat at least 60% of the total army to weaken the Goblin King's hold on the lair.
Confront the Goblin King before the portal is complete: Once the army is defeated, you must face the Goblin King himself and stop him from opening the portal. He is a powerful foe, so be prepared for a tough fight.
IMPORTANT: If you fail to complete either condition you will fail the quest a heavy penalty will be applied to you!]
“Oh, it really changed. The total compilation rate is now gone but now I have to defeat 60% of the total goblin king’s army, which I haven’t gotten a clue to how large it is. A ‘King’ class monster is roughly 5 times stronger than any other of their species and same level.”
Pran started making a plan: “I should first scout the surrounding area and check what is the average level of the goblins here, that’ll give me a rough idea of the overall situation and I’ll be able to plan a strategy accordingly.”
He took out the quiver and strapped it on his back, gripped the compound bow in his left hand, and slowly started to walk toward the burning torch while trying to stay as close to the wall and trying to use the shadows for his advantage.
Soon Pran reached below the torch and saw that before him was a forked tunnel. He slowly moved forward trying to be as quiet as possible. After reaching the fork he crouched down and started to examine the dirt to find any clues that will help him find the more traveled route. After a bit, he found that the left path had a less traveled one.
“More movement means that there’s a heavy presence of the goblins on the right side. So I’ll check the left side first and see how it goes.”
After deciding his next course of action Pran once again started moving slowly on the left route while trying to hear sounds coming from ahead. After around 10 minutes of walking vigilantly, he spotted a group of four goblins coming toward him.
Pran contemplated for a second and then decided not to use ‘Eye Spy’ on the goblins. Instead, he positioned himself in the shadows and started to keenly observe the goblins.
The goblins were carefree and were chatting among themselves and didn’t look like they were on guard. After seeing this Pran drew an arrow, knocked at the bow, took a deep breath, focused on the rightmost side goblin, aimed at its head, touted the bowstring, and then let the arrow fly.
Swoosh!
And just before the arrow hit the goblin's head, Pran was ready with the next arrow and was already aiming at a different goblin, and let another arrow fly.
Swoosh!
The first goblin didn’t even notice anything and the arrow pierced his brain and his head exploded due to the sheer force of the arrow. As his brain matter was about to land on the other goblins the second goblin's head also exploded in the same manner. He then target the remaining two goblins and even before they had the chance two arrows were already next to their heads.
Swoosh! Swoosh!
Pran’s speed was extremely fast and in just three seconds he shoot four arrows and killed all the goblins without giving them any chance to scream or even make a peep.
As the last of the goblins died, a notification window appeared before Pran indicating how much exp he obtained.
[Ding! Killed 4x ‘Goblin Grunt’! Gained 64 Exp & 64 gold coins!]
[Ding! Quad kill achieved, rewarding +4 Exp!]
“Damn, such high exp and gold from killing just some goblin grunts and that too out of the tower? This means I received 16 exp & 16 gold per goblin killed.” Pran let out a long breath.
“As I expected, the higher the risk, the higher the reward. These grunts were killed with a single arrow, which means that their levels are not high nor do they have a high level or high defense. But let’s not forget that my stats are crazy high. At this rate, I’ll need to kill just three more goblins and I’ll level up.”
He soon calmed down and tried to make comparisons between the dungeons he had been in where he killed goblins to this one. But, Just then a new message appeared in front of him stunning him once more as Pran got rooted on the spot, rubbed his eyes to confirm that he was seeing clearly, and then said in a bit of shock and amazement: “Even this is possible?”
[Ding! Loot System has been enabled!]
[Ding! Obtained Skill Runestone ‘Trained Combatant (F)’!]
[Ding! Loot gained will be increased to max tier for the first drop!]
[Ding! Skill Runestone ‘Trained Combatant (F)’ has been transformed into ‘Supreme Fighter (S)’!]
“Runestone,” the most straightforward and easy way to obtain skills and spells without any extra requirements. Even if you have just become a player, you can use the rune stone to gain skills and spells. And till now there are five ways to acquire them. First, when you kill a strong monster, there is a very very low chance that instead of a mana core in the monster’s heart, there will be a runestone instead. Second, after clearing a portal, there’s a low probability of obtaining random skill and spell runestones of ‘Grade D’ or lower. Third, you can obtain certain types of runestones to random types of runestones after clearing different kinds of trials in the Tower of Trials, but there’s a chance that those gained runestones can only be used by the one who completes the trials. Fourth, trade them with other players ranging from money, items, and goods to other runestones, to even other players' freedom to life. Lastly, the easiest way, Fifth, is to buy them from the item stores i
Pran was standing at the edge of a deep cave, the stench of rot assaulting his senses. He wrinkled his nose in disgust but pressed on because he still had to clear this lair. As he arrived at the end of the passage, he was at the entrance of a prison-like chamber filled with many humans hanging from the walls. Some were males while some were females. Their clothes seemed to have been torn while they were being tortured, and some were totally naked with bruises and whip marks. The scene made him feel sick to his stomach, and he couldn't help but wonder how they ended up there.Goblins and even Hobgoblins milled about the cave, chatting, sharpening their weapons, and sleeping, while some of them were eating something. Despite having seen this sight before, and knowing that there will be more thing similar or even worse things he will see in the future, Pran felt nauseated. But then he sensed at least two str
Pran had no choice but to change his tactics a bit after finding out that it was a Blood Troll that he was up against. While the blood troll was still thrashing around due to its pain and had its back against Pran, he swiftly moved right before its back and rapidly slashed it thrice. Swish! Slash! Schink! The blood troll once again winced in pain as the slashes made deep gashes on its back and dark greenish blood started flowing out. It slightly moved its body to the right and sent its long right hand bulging with rock-hard muscles as a backhanded smash towards Pran, trying to hit him. The blood troll was fast but Pran was even faster. Instead of dodging the backhanded smash he lightly kicked on the hand with his left foot and used it as a springboard, and flew towar
Pran saw the blood troll's hand with its palm open, right in front of him. He quickly tapped his right foot, moving his body slightly to the left to dodge the blood troll's attack, and while continuing to move forward he used his forward momentum to run his sword from the wrist to its shoulder in a straight light.Slice! The blood troll once more hollered in pain as its dark greenish blood started to flow like a waterfall. It used its other hand to smack at the annoying bug who was inflicting so much pain on him. Pran moved to the side but noticed that the blood troll didn’t follow his movement and was still going through its attack motion without stopping.Despite his initial fear, Pran quickly calmed down and breathed a sigh of relief after realizing that the blood troll was still blind. It must have smelled me coming and must have made that attack. Fucker nearly gave me a heart attack!Pran once more focused on attacking the blood troll not giving it time to recover even slightly.
Pran swiftly neared the shield lying on the ground while sheathing the dagger in his left hand. And as he reached it another arrow was already nearing him. Without showing any panic or hesitation he moved the sword into the line of the approaching arrow and used the flat to slide the arrow tip to deviate its trajectory to the side while kicking on the edge of the shield to flip it towards his left hand. As the arrow went past Pran’s right shoulder the shield on the ground was already close to his left hand. And as he was about to grab it his danger sense suddenly picked a very faint killing intent behind him. Without any delay, he tilted his body to the left side using his weight while he used his right foot to tap on the ground to rotate his body on his left foot. As Pran did that he lifted his right hand and using his body’s rotation slashed behind him while he was also able to grab the shield with his
Pran’s reason to deal with the hobgoblins first was because low-level goblins would rarely possess any skills, and even if they did they would be passive ones, which would help them fight better or for longer or use specific weapons more accurately. But hobgoblins were different, in general, 9 out of 10 hobgoblins would possess some kind of passive skills, and amongst ones that possess skills, every 4th would have an active skill, as was evident from the hobgoblin that attacked him some time ago. In this current situation apart from the shadow goblin only the goblin mages would be difficult to deal with along with the hobgoblins, because if the blood troll had any skill it would have used it by now. As Pran could dodge the goblins and the blood troll’s attack if he focused on them, and in time will be able to deal with them, but for that to happen he had to at the very least take out the hobgoblin and the goblin mages. Pran would have ideally liked to take out the goblin mages first
"Ha...ha...ha..." "So… this is it.... ha...ha..." "It didn’t have to be." A soft voice so familiar that he can never mistake it for someone else came from the front. Even after trying his best to focus on the person, all he could see were some blurry figures coming toward him. "You know why this happened, don't you? Because you didn't do as I told you to." Suddenly he heard a different voice, one with a charismatic quality and a hint of pride and arrogance, as if everything was beneath the speaker. “Sigh…” After a brief pause the speaker continued: "If you had just kept following my commands like a faithful and loyal dog, you wouldn't have ended in this state." “Hahaha… cough… cough” “Tch, he’s still laughing.” A gruff voice came from one of the figures and that person lifted their leg to stomp but was stopped by the first person with the soft voice. “Don’t. If you hit him while he’s in this state, then he might die before we even have a chance to ask anything.” “So, you’re
In 1990, portals began appearing all around the world. Initially, the world was at a loss for what to do about these mysterious portals. Brave souls attempted to enter the portals, but to no avail. Meanwhile, many religious groups began proclaiming that the portals were an omen of the world's impending destruction. Despite the efforts of scientists worldwide, no one could make sense of this bizarre phenomenon. As time passed, things returned to normal, with the portals continuing to exist but no other changes occurring. After three years of extensive testing and experimentation, scientists developed a method to locate the portals through their specific energy signatures. For the next nine years, nothing changed. But then, the energy signals began gradually increasing, causing widespread panic around the world. Finally, on January 1st, 2000, people across the globe heard a voice in their heads.
