Reincarnation of the dragon king

The beginning

Gem stared at the cup of coffee in his hand. He bought this coffee from the last remaining money from his pocket. After it, he has no money on his hand and he did not care less because today he decided to get rid of all the problems in his life. 

He did not know who he was, who his parents were and why they left him in an orphanage the moment he was born.

Well, this was not true. They did not left him in an orphanage. They left him im a small wooden box that floated for days until he reached to the city. 

But his misfortune did not end there. He was bullied in the orphanage and the day he left the orphanage, he was sure he was going to make a beautiful life in the outside world. But his dreams shattered soon when he started working as a waiter because no one wanted to hire him on any other job.

He worked hard. He cleaned, washed dishes , bear insults and yet he still was living from hand to mouth.

There, he fell in love with a girl. She used to come to the restaurant everyday and would sit to here for hours doing her assignments or studying for tests.

He really liked her. She was like fresh air in his suffocated life. Also she was the only person who would talk to him or wishes him good morning everyday.

Today, he asked her out but the girl who would usually be very kind with him, laughed at his face.

In his twenty years life, he finally had enough. There was no single day when he felt he was truly happy.

"Mr, do you want to buy something?"

He lifted his head and found an old woman standing near him. She had a small box in her hand that was filled with many items.

"Sorry, I do not have any money."

He told her who did not say anything and lifted her hand as she patted his head.

"You poor soul.

Have faith on yourself and this too shall pass."

"Yes. It will."

He chuckled knowing about his plans. If he died today, will there be anyone who could cry for him.

No, he does not think so.

The old woman went through her box and took out a necklace. She handed him the necklace and smiled.

"They tried to stop the truth to come out but the truth will be revealed in one way or the other."

She turned and left while Gem saw her leaving in the distance. He was still wondering over her words when he felt the necklace in his hand.

He looked down at the necklace which looked simple but it had a strange stone in the middle. He carefully examined the shape and found it to be a dragon while the stone was the eye of the dragon.

"It looks expensive." 

As the thought crossed his mind, he looked around for the old woman. She might have given him this necklace by mistake.

Gem quickly got up and tried to find the woman but there was no sign of her. She disappeared as if she was made of air.

Finally he decided to go back home. Now he changed his mind of dying today. He was going to live for few days.

As he turned, a fast moving truck appeared out if nowhere. Gem wanted to move but it felt like his feet were stick to the ground. The next second, his body flew in the air and then fell on the ground with a thud.

His body was aching everywhere and as he tried to open his eyes, his eyes filled with the blood. There was no bone in his body that was still intact.

What kind of play was destiny playing with him?

He wanted to die but could not and now that he decided to face his problems with new courage, life played a cruel game with him.

He could hear people screaming and gathering around him but his eyes were on the necklace in front of him.

He blinked slowly hearing a strange sound and this was when his mind was completely engulfed by the darkness.

His lifeless body was lying on the road as people gathered around him. They were whispering not knowing what to do next.

At some distance, a young woman was sitting on the bench. She smiled as Gem closed his eyes and picked the box in her hand.

She ran her fingers through the jewelry in the box and lifted her head to look in the space.

"The son of dragon is going to be reincarnated again and this time no one can stop him from achieving his goals.

The world is going to burn soon and no one can stop our lord to get what rightfully belonged to him."

In a room, there was a panic as two figures were fighting with each other trying to put the blame on each other.

"That's enough." The figure sitting on the chair roared making the two people go quite.

The figure got up.

"So, he was killed and send to the second world. Now that he is out there, you better be worried for your life. Once he find the truth about himself, he will return to take revenge for his people and you...."

The figure inahled deeply.

"Now, I am going to take things in my hands.

We were the ones who ended the legacy of dragons and we will be the one to end the last heir.

He could have escaped from the first world but he won't be able to leave all those worlds that I created for him."

The figure snapped their fingers and a screen was visible on the wall where Gem could be seen stuck in white fog.

"Congratulations host on entering the second world. Can I do a little drum roll?"

Gem heard a voice in his head and sat up with a jerk. He looked around and found himself in a big room that was decorated beautiful.

But how he reached here. The last memory he had was of his being dying on the road after getting hit with the truck.

He remembered the pain, the feeling you have just before the death.

"Am I dead?"

He questioned himself but heard a chuckle in return.

"Host, you are not dead.

You are in your second world."

"Who are you?" Gem looked around but could not find anyone. Right now he was full of confusion.

"Host, I am your guardian angel system. I will lead you to get out of this trap."

"What trap?"

"Host, let me explain everything to you.

You are not an ordinary human. You are the heir of the dragon.

The one who is going to bring back the legacy of dragons. You are going to lead your people."

The system told him while Gem chuckled as if he was taking everything as a joke.

"Okay, I must be dead. What is this place? Am I in coma?"

"Host, please calm down.

I know you have been through a lot. You were trapped in the first world for over hundred years. You were living the same life again and again but I could not help you there.

It was against the rules.

But now that you are out, I will tell you everything and help you to get out of here."

Gem took few deep breaths. His head was hurting from all the new information but he decided to listen to the other thing.

After half an hour, his guardian system explained everything to him and he was sitting stunned at his place.

In the real world, there were two clans ruling the world. One were dragons and the other were gods. One day, gods decided they wanted to rule all the creatures and declared a war against dragons. Many of the dragons were killed only remaining those that could not be called true dragons. They were impure as they were born by the mating of a dragon and some other creatures like humans, werewolves, vampires, elves etc.

That time a prophecy was made. 

The heir of dragon kind will bring justice to the world and let all the dragons lead in the war to take what rightfully belonged to them.

When the son of the dragon king was born, the gods stole him and hid him in the fake world. Each world had certain task for him to get to the next world.

In the first world, Gem was living the same life again again because the key to escape what the necklace that was given to him by the old lady.

Now that he got the key, he was transmigrated to the second world and his guardian system was ale to help him.

"Host, this world is called the illusion. They will give you what you wished in the last world so you can't escape but don't forget this is not real.

To leave this world, you need to find the dragon ring. 

The dragon ring is hidden where sun can't reach and Moon can't shine yet it is always under sun and the moonlight is always bright."

"Hm.."

Before Gem could ask anything, the door of his room was knocked and a man entered inside.

"My son has woken up."

He smiled at Gem while Gem was confused. 

"Why don't you get ready? Your mother is cooking breakfast for you and then I will drop you to your college. Today is your first day at college and we are very excited for you."

The man had a proud smile on his face while Gem was stunned at his place.

After the man left, Gem took a shower and came down. On the table, the same man was sitting while reading a newspaper while two children were sitting playing with each other. A boy and a girl.

"Gem. Sit down."

A woman appeared and put breakfast in front of him.

He tried to smile but he felt as if it was a dream.

This was his perfect life.

Parents and siblings.

"Brother..."

The little girl called him.

"You promised, you are going to take us for the carnival today."

Gem choked on his tears. 

"Host, this is not real. Please try to remember your goal."

The mechanical voice informed him but he ignored the voice.

Even if it was not real, he still wanted to feel this kind of life.

"Yes, I will.

I will take you two on the carnival."

He smiled looking at the two kids that had similar features as him. Even his fake parents looked like him.

He praised the person who created this world because they worked on each detail. If he did not have the guardian angel system with him he might have become a fool.

"Yay, my brother is the best."

The little girl shouted happily while the little bit smiled. Gem stared at the little kids before he quickly finished his breakfast.

He sat in the car while his father drove him to the college. Before dropping him off, he gave him some pocket money.

"Spend this money on your friends.

I am sure you are going to make a lot of girls crazy over you today."

Gem chuckled and came out of the car. He looked at the building before he entered the college gate. As he walked towards his class, he could hear loud gasps and people staring at him. He knew he was going to be popular.

At the distance, a figure whow as not visible to anyone eyes smirked.

They knew, no one can escape from this world. Because it is someone's deepest desire and they study that specific one for a long time to create this perfect world.
