Comeback To Hometown

“Are you ready to see your new face, sir?” asked the doctor. Today, David’s wait is finally over. The bandage covering his entire face was about to be removed, and he could see his new face.

David took a deep breath and nodded his head. “More than ready, doctor,” he said.

The doctor smiled. He carefully removed the bandages that covered David’s face with great care. A smile etched on his face.

“Perfect,” he said.

The nurse brought a mirror, and she pointed it at David’s face. “You can open your eyes now, sir. Your face. It’s amazing. Just like the face you want,” he said in a very satisfied tone.

David opened his eyes slowly. And was very surprised to see his reflection in the mirror. A smile, oh no! More precisely, a smirk was etched on his new, too handsome face. “This is perfect. They won’t recognize me anymore. Thank you, doctor. You really did a great job. Now I can start what I should do. Ah, I really can’t wait.”
