She's Safe

“Here?” Bruno looked at the girl. The girl nodded her head. She unbuckled her seatbelt, then smiled afterward at Bruno.

“Would you like to stop by first?” she asked.

Bruno was silent for a moment. “I’ll stop by to make sure you’re safe,” Bruno said. Bruno was worried that her mother would be just as bad. So, Bruno just wanted to make sure.

“Making sure I’m safe?” the girl smiled.

Bruno glanced at her. “Hmm.”

Knock. Knock. Knock.

The door opened. The figure of a woman who still looks beautiful even though she is old. Gray hair, with wrinkles on some parts of her face. She looked surprised. Her pupils widened at the sight of the daughter.

“My daughter!” The old woman came forward and immediately hugged the girl, who had not come to her house in a very long time. Because she was forced by her father.

“Mother.” The girl brought by Bruno hugged her mother back.
