Beads of sweat flowed down freely on Leonard's body as he directed all his energy and concentration on the acupuncture treatment.

He knew the consequences of a slightest mistake.

This treatment was life threatening and any little mistake might lead to the loss of the patient's life.

Emily held her fingers as she stared at Leonard through the little light in the room. She couldn't see his face clearly but she saw how carefully and tactically his fingers moved with the needles.

She silently prayed and hoped that her grandfather would be alright. He was the only one who stood with her and objected to her marriage.

After an hour which seemed like a whole period of eternity, Leonard finally stepped away from Emily's grandfather's bed.

"I'm done," he said.

"Can we open the windows now?" Amelia asked nonchalantly. "I feel suffocated."

"No! And if you feel suffocated, you shouldn't have stayed back," Leonard replied.
