The room was even more tense with the argument, especially after Lucas cornered the man. Of course, the man didn't accept what Lucas had said.

He crossed his arms over his chest. His expression was cold and full of distaste. "You're too stupid to speak."

His voice echoed in the quiet room, surprised everyone by his frontal remarks.

Lucas gave a small smile with a slight upward lift of his eyebrows. "Mr. Charles Hamilton." His voice was low but firm with emphasis. "You have neglected people who needed help in your territory, haven't you?"

"What do you mean?" Charles stared at Lucas quizzically. His eyes reddened, glaring sharply.

"When the flood suddenly hit your territory a few years ago." Lucas put emphasis on every word that came out of his mouth. "I'm sure everyone here remembers."
