Chapter 63

"Louis isn't up yet, or is he having breakfast in his room?" Lucas, who had swallowed the meat, asked quietly. He watched Chris, who poured himself a drink of water.

Chris looked at him, a friendly smile as he usually did. "Lord Louis will have breakfast in his room."

Lucas was silent for a moment. He stopped the movement of his hand that would make the fork pierce the meat. "He's getting worse. Is there a time prediction?"

Chris looked surprised by that, but then he shook his head slowly. Lucas knew that if he was hiding the truth from himself, he knew that Chris would always be on Louis' side. Once he was gone, all his loyalty oaths would be for him.

Lucas finished his breakfast, grabbed his bag and the car keys he often used, and went to his campus to take care of something. The people on campus were very busy looking for jobs and getting recommendations from their lecturers.
