2024-05-11 23:46:00There was silence in the room, Keith was pissed off and it was not looking like he was going to listen to anyone.
“Sir? What do you mean?” the man kept shivering; he had heard Keith but he was not sure that there was going to be a chance for him to even talk to Keith again.
“Are you deaf? I told you to get yourself out of here and make sure that you don't show your face around here again.” Keith was stern when he said those words, the ex-manager knew better than to make Keith angry than he was already.
He stepped back and began to walk away, there was nothing he could do or say to even make him consider giving him his work back.
“This is beyond an embarrassment; he has lost his job and there is no way he will even get it back even if he were to beg for it like that. I know that there is no way for him to get another job in this city.”
“He has made himself a fool, I don't blame him too. There is no way I would have known that the lad over there played an important part in this hotel.”
People watched the man walk out, everyone was a bit shocked and what they were trying to understand was what made him even think that there was going to be a chance or a world where Keith would even think of forgiving him.
Jared stood there still angry and surprised, he didn't want to accept that Keith had so much power in his hand and there was no way he would even want to see him above him in any way.
“You might think that this is over, but I will make sure that you don't even get to enjoy this drama you are putting up here. You will pay and when I am done with you Keith you will wish that you didn't cross paths with me.”
Jared was looking at Keith, he was trying to make himself sound as intimidating as he could.
“You don't know when to quit, do you? I know you think that there is going to be a chance for you and your daddy to scare me but there is nothing you can do to even make me feel scared of you.”
Keith had a smile on his face, he was trying to make sure he made Jared feel uneasy and his plan was working. Jared was looking at him and there was no telling what was going on in his head.
“You will pay for all this embarrassment Keith Norman, one way or the other.” Jared was looking at Keith like he was some kind of prey for him, there was nothing he would do to make sure that he was going to make Keith pay for embarrassing him like that.
“Well, I will be waiting for you to make a move. I would love to see you try and lose. And I would also love to see how you will call your daddy to come and help you out. You know what there is no way you will ever be something other than a spoilt daddy’s boy.” Keith had a sinister smile on him, it was taunting and it was clear that Jared was dancing to his game like there was nothing else to do.
Jared turned back; he was not going to stay in the same hotel where Keith was the winner. He knew that he would lose if he was trying to make sure that he made Keith feel bad.
“Eleanor?” Keith called out; Eleanor turned looking at him. She was praying that he would tell her what had happened and bring her out of the dark. She wanted to know why it was feeling like she was lost in everything they were doing.
“Yes?” Eleanor answered, she was confused most of all but it was still not clear why he would even think of stopping her like that. Keith walked down in front of Eleanor and Jared, the both of them were looking at him like he was some kind of freak.
“Oh don't think that it's something important, I just figured to tell you since we are getting divorced and all I think it will be for the best if I give you back this watch. Your father gave it to me when I got there, he told me to take care of it and I did. I thought that we would be able to make a family together, but I see you have other plans.” Keith handed the watch over to Eleanor and turned back immediately.
Eleanor didn't know what to say or even do, she watched Keith leave and it was like a dream to her. She would have never imagined that the one man she was trying to avoid was the man she was meant to be with.
‘I am the one that went along with the divorce agreement, why do I feel like there is something I don't know about all this? How can he hide such a thing from me and why would it be now that he wants to show the whole world who he is?’
Eleanor looked at Keith as he walked away from them and headed to Mr. Jacqueline, it was a strange day for Eleanor and she had seen something that would make her hate Keith even more but it was nothing compared to what she had in mind.
‘I will have to make sure that I ruin his life before he gets to enjoy it to the fullest. I will make sure of it.’Eleanor was not going to let Keith walk out like there was nothing to what he did.
“Come on El,” Jared called for her as they turned to leave the Hotel. Keith didn't even look back once to see what she was doing.
“Now that I am free from her, I will make sure that I don't let anyone use me like that ever again,” Keith muttered as he walked in.
