Forgotten Identity

However, suddenly his cell phone rang. There's an incoming call. Without looking at the name on the screen, Alexis picked up the phone.

“Don't forget your first task to validate the Golden Dragon card which you used to pay for your mother's hospital bills, Rebecca!"

“I definitely did. I have found my hope in life again. My mother was finally cured. Never mind the card validation task, even if you give me an impossible task, I will complete it with all my might. In fact, you asked me to fall from the eighth floor of this hospital too, I would have done it because you saved my mother's life."

"No need to be excessive, just carry out your first task and I will give you your second task later!"

“Promise me, after I complete my three tasks, tell me who you really are and what your motive is for giving me three missions like this!” Alexis looked serious when saying this sentence.

“As I said yesterday, that question will definitely be answered as time goes by. The sooner you complete your three tasks, the sooner you will know the answers to all the questions in your head."

"Okay, I went straight to Royal Bank according to your orders!"

Andre laughed at Alexis' stupidity. Going to one of the most famous banks in the world wearing bloodstained, shabby clothes? Really, he was excited to know all the answers.

"Go to the clothing store at the intersection near the hospital first, choose the clothes you feel most comfortable in, then tell them your name is Alexis! No matter how expensive or cheap the clothes you choose are, you don't have to pay for them."

"How do you know? Are you always watching my every move?"

Andre laughed again. For him, it was one more silliness of Alexis.

"I'm still active in the military. Of course, I have the power to do things like snooping on other people, including you!" Andre answered.

"I guess, your nonsense that I thought was nonsense is now starting to be believable."

"Good luck, Zero."  The call ended after Andre said goodbye.

Alexis originally thought the Golden Dragon card was just an ordinary card that had no use at all, but it turned out to be so special that the hospital director was wide-eyed.

After exploring G****e Maps and looking for the address and whereabouts of Royal Bank, strange things still confused Alexis about the bank.

"But it's very strange, why only one Royal Bank in this capital city? There should be at least four or five banks as usual. And why did Andre give this task to me? Why me, not another man?" Alexis, who had just left the clothes shop, immediately goes to Royal Bank in South of this city.

Alexis's confusion continued into his next guess.

"Am I just being deceived? If in fact, there is no Royal Bank and I'am nothing person, but there is an attempt to take advantage of my current situation?"

  "Alex."

Alexis turned his head and found Lea smiling at him.

"I haven't found the complete piece of the puzzle to your problem, but can I come with you?" asked Lea.

Of all the bad things that happened to hom today, Alexis think that meeting Lea was the most beautiful one.

Alexis smiled happily, as did his answer.

"Yes. You must always come with me."

Just about to proceed to his next destination, as he exited the hospital, a group of youngsters approached Alexis.

"Who are they?" Lea asked in a trembling tone, out of fear.

Alexis stared intently at the five 20-somethings now standing in front of him.

"They're just losers!" came Alexis' soft reply, but Lea could already deduce that Alexis and these young men had interacted with each other, but under bad circumstances.

"Hi. We heard about your mom and your girlfriend." One of the young men greeted Alexis with a cornered look.

"I don't need your attention," Alexis replied coldly. "Just tell us what you want?" Alexis added defiantly.

"We're just telling you. We're not going to be merciful to you, despite your misfortune. Our business isn't over yet, and don't expect that the person you saved is now out of our hair, we'll make sure you don't have a peaceful life!" The young gangster turned to warn Alexis.

Alexis immediately put her hand on the collar of the young man's shirt in front of him.

"I'm warning you, leave the shop and Mr. Houston alone!"

"Oh yeah, then, we should make a deal first."

"What do you mean?!" Alexis tightened his grip on the young man's collar, but being calmed by Lea, he finally let go and tried to talk to him nicely.

After coughing for a while, the young man answered.

"Listen Alexis. We already know that the store is just a camouflage for the other gangsters to use as a meeting place, and--"

"It wasn't a meeting place, but old Mr. Houston took them in to feed them and give them jobs, until the store had branches and was thriving. You're the one who's jealous!" Alexis insisted, then waved his hand to end the conversation.

"Argg, never mind, I've got business to attend to. Meeting you guys is useless!"

Alexis quickly scooped Lea up to take her to their next destination, leaving the youngsters frozen in place, not daring to restrain Alexis, who was known as a brawler in this suburban neighborhood.

Alexis thought the conversation had ended, but it had not.

With a glare, the young street gangster made a promise to Alexis.

"We won't let you become the man of the streets, like they want you to be!"
