Reckless Action

"Have you ever killed, Alexis?"

Alexis was stunned by Martin's question. Killed in what sense? He thought.

"I have," Alexis answered. "Self-defense. I've never killed for pleasure."

"Until you went to jail? Must be for murder? This is a high-profile prison, the crimes aren't cheap either. Don't be a saint."

Alexis smiled a smirk, put all the weeds he had collected together into the container provided, and then replied.

"I already told you. I kill only in self-defense."

"FIRE...FIRE...SOMEONE WANTS TO KILL US ALL!"

Alexis and Martin both turned to the person who said it. He shouted as his index finger pointed to the back door on the first floor, where the food storage and kitchen were located.

The door opened, and a man ran out with a wound on his stomach, causing panic among the onlookers.

An alert siren sounded afterward. Puffs of smoke could be seen inside the kitchen, so some police guards set up a barricade around the inmates to evacuate them.
