Chapter 176

Ciara walked out of the house, after glancing apologetically at Elsa’s mother and glaring at Millie. She held Michael’s hand before he got into the car and he turned and looked at her.

“I’m sorry about all that has happened tonight, Michael.” She said with large, emotional eyes. “Even before the attack, I noticed how harsh Elsa was with some of her comments and I already had it in mind to plead on her behalf.”

He regarded her and his cold eyes softened. “It’s been a long night, Ciara and it’s getting really late. Let’s just go home and be over this, okay?” He said and she nodded obediently.

They got into the car and the huge engine roared into the serene night. As they drove him, Ciara got a call from Elsa’s close friend, Colton and she decided to drop by briefly. Colton was hysterical over the phone and Ciara knew nothing would ease his jittery nerves unless she got to him and assured him that everything was actually alright.

Michael hesitated, “Really? Can’t it wait until tomorrow?
